I'm sure along with those who notice every little detail about Deal or no deal, I've recently noticed that Noel has taken a different approach to introducing the "22 identical sealed boxes, 11 in the east wing..." little speech, walking around the pound table instead of switching cameras with that stupid hand thing.
I aslo noticed a while back for a few shows that before the opening credits, Noel took his walk from the pound table to the board instead of vice-versa. Which do you prefer, should the show mabye take those kind of things to a new level?

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Anyway I agree with what you are saying. The hand thing was pretty annoying.

To be honest, whilst I don't like the show changing to a certain extent, I don't really mind how Noel introduces it - I think it's quite good actually, when he puts a bit of variation into it - he must get bored saying and doing exactly the same thing at the beginning of each episode, 3 times a day, 5 days a week, when they're recording!

I literally despised the way he used to switch cameras at "22 identical sealed boxes". Especially once he started milking it with that exaggerated movement.

I found it so hard to take that I would go drinking for days, just trying to wipe it from my mind. I am so glad he has stopped. I was considering suicide.

Hahah, I totally agree....

...I might not go that far, though.

I see Noel has gone back to the old camera swicth, and I also noticed today that at the end, he didn't take his usual walk accross the walk of wealth. Speaking of which, have you ever noticed how at the end of games, or if players are asked to come out to the table, they are always very careful to not walk down the walk of wealth... :ponder:

Maybe it's something to do with the lighting levels in the studio?

I think its a kind of superstition, like it's bad luck for a contestant to walk on the walk of wealth before their game.

Yeah that would make sense.

Actually I prefer the way Noel walks round the pound table and the camera pans to the board - it seems more natural.
