It's quite disheartening isn't it?

I auditioned back in November and havn't heard anything back. I don't expect too either now! It's just, so frustrating because you have no idea what they're looking for. I guess you can only be yourself! I don't know about others but they said in mine that they'd put a man on the show who they first auditioned nine months beforehand - do you think that's true?!

I was also wondering why they record the audition itself. Do all the tapes get shown to a higher power, or just the ones of people that the researchers doing the questions thought stood out from the crowd? And the same for the questionnaire that we had to fill out, do all of them get read or is it just the people who interest the researchers? I put a lot of effort into answering the questions on the questionnaire, and I'd have said they better reflected the real "me" rather than my audition itself, and it'd be a shame to think that it didn't get read.

Have many others here had auditions? And if so how do you feel it went? And what of the whole auditioning process itself? I personally don't think "audition" really suits what happens, it's more of an interview.

Any thoughts?

You should be happy that you had an audition! Considering how many people apply and then how many people are actually invited to an audition, you've done pretty well already. And don't be disheartened, you never know

its normal for channel 4, i auditioned for countdown in july last year and knew i wasn't on it in about.... uhmmm early september i think

nawww i got a couple of 6's and thats it, when i heard that "Housemaid" was there i went "Oh crap"as it was a 9 and i had it

Hi. I applied back in 2005.... then got a phone call in November for an audition in London. The audition was a bit lame.... waited around for over 2 hours and got sat infront of a camera for 2min and was asked the same questions that were asked to me over the phone 3 weeks earlier.... they said that you can expect to hear back from them after 4 weeks....

I was at work about 2 weeks ago.... and GOT THE CALL!!!! IM GOING TO BE ON THE SHOW.

Can't say too much right now... but obviously I did something right because they want me...

Don't give up if you have applied.They cant take everyone on the show right away, and I'm sure that you will get THE CALL soon...
