I know it's only opening boxes, but I'd feel pretty gutted. Probably wouldn't say anything...although if it was, say, late on in the game and loads of other power 5s were still there, I might mention that.

Knowing i'd like the contestant i'd probs do more than that

I would probably be upset and say "Sorry", but if it was opened in the first round, I'd probably be less upset as they could turn it around.

I would feel awful and say sorry even though it's not really my fault.

Whilst it would be upsetting that the £250k has gone, I wouldn't feel guilty for having it - sounds harsh, but I can't help what's in the box! I'd comfort the player if necessary, but I certainly wouldn't say "sorry"!

Depends on the circumstances. If I had it and was picked early on, I wouldn't say anything, but if I had it and was picked at a critical point in the game, I'd probably say 'I'm so sorry'.

You are quite right there H there simply isn't anything you can do about it.

If I ever got on the show, I'd want to have the £250,000 at least once. I wouldn't say anything if I had it, as it's all random.

It depends how close I was to them.

I'd just laugh like Jasmine did when she revealed the £500k. What a legend.

I'd probably have a tantrum and run around the set waving my arms in the air.

"OH MY GOD, NOOOOOOAAAAAARROOOOOOO!!! YOU'RE DIM! YOU'VE MADE THE SITUATION WORSE!! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!! ABANDON THE STUDIO NOW!"

Then I'd push the emergency exit button that opens up a secret hatch on the floor with a slide going down that leads to outside. Sirens start to go off, red lights start flashing and the walls start to cave in! "COME ON EVERYONE, DOWN THE SLIDE, GO! GO! GO!"

Then, we all slide down the slide (a bit like that slidey thing the boxes go down in the opening titles)

"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Then once we're all out, we run up the street like a bunch of loons shouting "AAAAAAHHH THE £250,000 MONSTER IS COMING TO EAT US!!!"

Then police cars turn up with megaphones "PLEASE STAY IN YOUR HOMES, DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY TRICKS TO OUTDO THE MONSTER, HE IS ON HIS WAY. I REPEAT PLEASE STAY IN YOUR HOMES, DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY TRICKS TO OUTDO THE MONSTER, HE IS ON HIS WAY."

Then helicopters appear on the scene with spotlights and there in the distance - The £250,000 monster barging his way through the town eating buildings and cars!

A plane goes across the sky and Noel Edmonds jumps out and pulls his parachute with the A-Team music playing in the background! He points his gun at the £250,000 monster and shoots, arrows start coming out and stab the monster and he starts to roar! Eventually he falls to the ground and dies! Yay!

10 minutes later and Flash turns up in her rocket! "I'm here to save the da...oh I see, I thought saving the universe was my job Noel! I missed a whole episode of Holby City to come and save your bacon, and for what!?! Absolutely nothing!" Hmph.

She then flys off in a sulk.

I think I'd be a bit upset, especially if it was in the final round. There's nothing to apologize for, as it's not the person's fault that they have £250,000 in their box. My reaction would also depend how long I was there for. If I had the £250,000 after something like 21 shows, I'd be like "why couldn't they have picked me today!"

I agree, if I was due to play (eg 22+ shows) and had the £250,000 but wasn't picked, I think I'd be quite annoyed!

I would say look this may of gone but you can still aim for the next highest on the board dont panic at this stage if it was a bad bad board like Marliyn for Trevor i would still be having nightmares now.
