This is a thread to work out when the first of *whatever* happened on DOND...

Here are some...

When was the first bowing down to the contestants at the walk of wealth?
Who was the first person to say "Ask me the question?"
When was the first time Noel referred to the "east wing and west wing"?

Something tells me Geordie was the first to say "Ask me the question", but something else tells me it was Andy K... :?

You're probably thinking of Billy's "What will happen in 2007 on DOND first?" thread - this thread is to work out when the first of whatever (e.g. bowing at the wings) happened...

The bowing/curtseying was started by Marie, I think.

I came up with the idea for this thread months ago in chat, but couldn't be bothered to make it.

As crazy as this may sound, I think I was the one who started that myth about Geordie being the first to ask for the question. Back in August I wrote:
Billy wrote:
Just a question - who invented "I'm ready for the question/Ask me the question"? The first person I remember using it was Geordie, but I'm sure it was in use before then.

But Andy K definitely says "Aren't you going to ask me the question?" as can be seen from my youtube clip, and I think even Paul 1 said it.

But who was the first to bring pictures? Who was the first person to say 'Come on'? (Andy K?). When was the first time Noel said "Good afternoon West Wing, good afternoon East Wing"?

Jennifer's game was the first to use the 'wing' names. It was previously left and right wings but Jennifer thought that it sounded too political.

I think Sam's game on March 4th was possibly the first to use slightly different music to spin out the Saturday show lasting an hour. Wasn't it one of the first too that actually went to an hour long? Maybe someone knows what the first hour long DOND was.

The East and West wing one links back to Noels House Party so I imagine it was used quite early on, although I cant really remember when!

Oi, I said earlier in this thread that Andy K definitely uses the term before Geordie did!

I wonder when Noel's 'all or peanuts' term was first used. In Audrey's game he calls it 'all or nothing'.

Raj 1 was the first game where everyone held hands, was Raj 2's game the first to have Blue chants?

Definitely remember Jennifer mentioning the political element (I gather she was somewhat left-wing and Noel said something like 'right wing first?' and she reacted... that never made the edit, but she mentioned it on the DoND blog).

I'm fairly sure 1p Nick's game saw the first mention of the Power 5 as containing five values - I said in Bother's Bar commentary that I agreed with that as 'the money really starts to ramp up from £35,000 onwards' or something. Of course, in the half-million games, Noel referred to a Power 6...

Yes, there was a clip of that in a programme about light entertainment recently... Noel said "Hello West Wing, Hello East Wing!" - it seems bizarre that he started using left and right on DOND, when for so many years he'd been using west and east. :? Maybe he wanted to totally separate DOND from his previous work at first...

When did the first contestants-walking-down-the-walk-of-wealth-to-greet-the-players-after-their-game start? It wasn't in Show 1, Noel ended it in "Join us again tomorrow when we will ocne again ask the question, Deal or No Deal"

Come to think of it, when was the Walk of Wealth first called the Walk of Wealth?

I think that was Anita's game...I know Raj was the first ever winner of HugWatch!

Anita's game.

Dunno about the Walk of Wealth, though. What games were the first when Noel used the terms 'dream factory', 'crazy chair', 'pound table', etc? And when did he first refer to the audience as 'pilgrims'? About July, wasn't it?

When did the "blue, blue, blue" chant start? They didn't do that at first. Also, when did Noel start calling the table the "pound table?"

I am sure Sam's game was the first hour long DOND show. I remember the third break and was like "What the hell?" and getting quite angry because my dinner was getting cold, I had to stick it in the microwave because I didn't want to miss the end and my parents were watching some other crap on telly, not that you really need to know all this...

First person to offer the banker a deal?
First person to open 2 boxes in same game?
First to get a call not relating to an offer or a swap?
First person to get publicly pillaried on the web?
