Do you think the offers the banker gives after a contestant 'deals' are genuine? It seems to me the are higher than he would of offered if the had 'no deal' and the game had gone the same way'. Take Laura’s game, if she had dealt the prev round before the final offer, there was no way her final offer would be 45,000. He seems to but the offer near the middle, so would probably got offered about 100,000.

I think there must be a way that they change the hypo-offers. It seems for players like Mike the ffers are lowered, but with people who are cocky or confident, he makes them seem higher.

There probably about right.

Everyone moans about them being inflated some of the time, but real offers are sometimes larger as well...

In the early days (the first six months, roughly) they were definitely larger. Nowadays though there seems to be as much variation in the proveout offers as there are to the in-play offers. (Although I'd have to do some proper analysis if I wanted to back that up.)

i think the banker has computer that gives him range of offers he can offer depending on the board. If they have not dealt he will pitch the offer somewhere depending on player. If they have dealt it will be the amount at the top of the range

There were two similar threads dealing with this subject,
one from just over a month ago about the banker's proveout offers
with a poll, and another one from last August also with a poll.
Most people thought that the offers the banker
makes after people deal were too high at both times
last year. Here are the threads, the most recent first:
