Found yesterdays game a strange one. He was brave to go on but i thought it was the correct decision as even if he left the 35k he would have got an offer of around 13-15k. The benefit of going on should as i say it was that if he left the 100k he would get an offer of around 40k. He should have. But this is where the banker has the power. He knows that people are unlikely to gamble 25k on a coin flip. I have been suprised this is really the first time i have seen this tactic really used. The banker can do this if he wants all the time. Most of the time the contestant will not go on. I have seen shows where the 250k and a low number was left and the offer was 80k. I think the banker could offer 40-50k and even as low as 30k and the contestant is more that likely to deal. I think yesterdays contestant was hard done my but it shows that if theres no fall back a bad offer is more often than not will be accepted as its a coin flip and only true gamblers will take it on. Its a flaw of the show and could be used more by the banker if he wanted to.
