Theres alot of talk of them on the show. I would just like to say that whatever one you use does not increase or decrease your chances. Purely random game. Makes no difference which one you use.

It is indeed a random game, but some people believe in a logic to picking the boxes. I don't but I certainly wouldn't go in numerical order, i would pick my lucky numbers ;)

I think it's good to have a system, as you then know that the boxes you pick in the proveout round (assuming you deal, of course), would be the ones you'd have picked. So often, I think in a proveout round "Are these the boxes you'd have picked"... a lot of them say "I think that one's got a high number, so I'd have left that", etc., but it'd be only human nature to try and pick the boxes you thought had the big numbers after you've dealt to try and prove your deal was a good one... but if you do that, the game doesn't follow the pattern it would have otherwise.

Agreed h2005! Also it helps with the banker to have a system, as it can give you the added confidence. Plus some systems are worse as they involve working out a lot, so you lose track of where you are, and that seems to have recently upset the banker (today being the most recent of examples) and so gets you lower offers.

Systems only put you at ease picking the boxes dont improve your chances. We will leave it at that.

As it's random it does surprise me when the game is not going well and people abandon their system as if it's going to make a big difference. The other advantage of persevering with a system is that you don't go through all this stuff about asking people if they have a feeling about what's in their box, procrastinating choosing the box, and changing your mind. The other thing is does it really make a difference what someone had in their box the previous day to today's game? There's a danger in getting too superstitious as well.

I think people use them to help them feel at ease in the game. If i was playing i would leave numbers that meant something to me. But its all chance.

Well the only system I would conside using is Frank's system that was a really good system and I was surprised it hadn't been used before.

The fourth time she had it Paul left her becuase of that very reason! Shame he'd dealt yonks before it though, and Noel had totally humiliated him.....

Haha, yes, Noel did go a bit over the top in that game - going on about how Paul could have won the £250k if he'd gone on and swapped... and so on... :|

Yes, if you've got a system, stick to it!

Yes, I don't like it when people say what they think is in their box, or when they are asked what they think is in their box - as it puts the person who said it and the player themselves in a very tricky situation if the player makes the wrong decision based on an inaccurate box prediction.
