I've noticed alot of you sue the terms OPW, OBW, TBW and others on the forums. I've kind of worked out what each means, OPW meaning the player got the maximum money available, OBW the opposite...but what do all of them mean?

I think OPW = Outright Player Win and OBW = Outright Banker Win.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

They're terms from Bother's Bar, another site that does DOND commentaries. Basically:

OPW - Player takes the highest offer and has less in their box, or takes their box and wins more than the highest offer.

OBW - Player takes any offer that's less than what's in their box, or takes their box and wins less than any offer.

TPW (Technical Player Win) - Player takes an offer that's more than the contents of their box, and more than 50% of the highest offer.

TBW - Player takes an offer that's more than the contents of their box and less than 50% of the highest offer.

Although it gets a bit complicated with people like Linda E selling her box for its value, or Nalini and Margaret turning down offers, then going to the end and winning the same amount from their box...

Surely in that case it's a draw between the banker and the player?

That's one way of looking at it...but you could say that since Nalini and Margaret got the maximum amounts possible, they deserve to have an OPW. And if Linda E had gone to the end and won £20k that way, it would have been an OBW...

I feel a list of all the players who have achieved all the results might be coming on - though I'll have to add a "debatable" option on the end. :)

Thanks I now understand what the hell you lot are on about :P

Also, Linda E would had a hypothetical offer of £30,000 so it's not an OPW, but not a OBW. So there should be a BPD (Banker and Player Draw).
