Was it just a coincidence that this site started on the first 1p member?

I actually thought about the site on New Years Day last year whilst recovering from the night before

I spent that evening checking out suitable domain names that would not infringe on any copyright with Channel4 or Endemol, as I didn't want to get the site up and running only to find that they could come along at a later date and take the domain due to trademark restrictions.

I came up with www.dond.co.uk as I thought it was nice and easy to remember, although it was a little gamble as it didn't immediately tell you what the site was about at the time. I registered that domain name on 2nd Jan 06, and then spent the day sorting out hosting and how to set-up a forum!!! As I had never set-up a forum before

Then on 3rd Jan I installed the forum and the rest as they say is history

Sorry for the ramble there although it does give you a little history of the sites birth But back to the original question, yes it was complete coincidence that the forum started on Nick's show, but what a historic show for the forum to be born on

I thought it was a strong possibility, becuase the DOND Blog site actually DID start up becuase of 1p Trevor's game!

You had better luck than i did when i tried installing my first forum. I mixed up all the settings and stuff with mysql and it took me a week to fix
