This thread is for anyone, but it would be good if there could be some feedback from contestants.

If you were selected to be a contestant, (or already have been) would your preference be to have a short or long run in the wings
before your turn in the crazy chair? The first ever contestants could not have a long run for obvious reasons, Lynn (1 show), Mark (2 shows), Anita (3 shows), Rachel (4 shows) and Haleem (5 shows).

Some contestants have had to take time off work at great expense and might be all too ready to want to sit in the chair quickly, whereas other contestants, Lucy (50 shows) for example, wanted the long run.

Would your preference be to be a short or long runner? :D

I'd like to be a long runner, definitely! :P And I could be, thanks to my light university timetable and long holidays! ;)

Endemol, I hope you're reading this! :P

Long, long, long, long!

If I did a short run I'd be paranoid everyone hated me or something. If I got on I'd never want to leave!

I would like to be a long runner. At least 22 shows. Any less and I'll be like Billy and get paranoid that everyone hated me and I'd cry.

If you were a long runner and did, say, 30 shows, how long would you actually be there for? That would mean they were on TV for just over a month, but most employers aren't that understanding!

They film Monday to Friday, 3 shows a week, so in theory, you could start on a Monday morning, finish on a Friday afternoon, and film for 5 days, and do 15 shows. However, there are also filming breaks of a week or two weeks, so if you do a large number of shows, it's likely filming will be spread over 3 or 4 weeks.

I'm glad I only had 20 shows, I know why though because they couldn't have Stuart, Ryan and Elton in a row they needed a girl to break it up! Plus I got out while I was on a roll with my predictions!

Speaking of university, when were the December shows (featuring students Danny and Joey) filmed?

For what it's worth, I'd hope for and expect a run around the 22-show average.

Joey and Danny both started filming on 12th October, and continued until 20th October, when after that, there was a 2 week filming break, then they filmed again from 6th November, recording their shows on 9th November... so they were their time there spanned nearly a month... but of course they both did an above-average 32 shows each, so filmed more days than most other players.

well at the time I was like what?????????? when I got taken after 11 shows but with hindsight I am glad.

Could not have stood the emotional roller coaster for much longer and I missed my family so I was in a win win sitution.

I'm the complete opposite... Money, money and if there's any left over money again ;) :P

But I suppose I'd like to stay the average.... I wouldn't want to out stay my welcome ;)
