I'm being lazy, so I'll put what I've put on the Bar.

Looks like ITV want Deal or No Deal & Noel.

Here
http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/news/tm_h ... _page.html

and also here
http://www.people.co.uk/news/tm_headlin ... _page.html

Also, a question for you. When was the last time ITV showed an Endemol format but was deemed a success?

Knowing them they'll make it like the NBC version, yuck!

People might remember the previous reports from earlier this month, where Channel 4 are working on a Non-Exclusive contract also to extend Deal to 2009.

I just can't believe ITV - I read in an article a while ago, where the chief executive was criticising channels such as Channel 4 and Channel 5 for buying programmes from abroad - such as CSI. They also criticised DOND. Now they themselves are trying to poach things from other channels - the number of times they have tried to do this in the past is just pathetic, and now they're doing it again.

It was quite nice to see Channel 4 poach Paul O'Grady from ITV last January, when ITV refused to sign a new contract - a new contract which ITV didn't like, because POG wanted his own TV company to run his programme.

I think, to be honest, if DOND is moved to ITV, judging by other gameshows on ITV, it will turn into a tacky format which would be unrecognisable to how it is on Channel 4.

There are also inaccuracies in those articles - in one, it says the contract is worth £25 million at £100,000 an episode, in the other, it says the contract is worth £2.5 million at £10,000 an episode.

Hopefullly, Noel will see sense and realise that the best thing for him to do is to stay at C4.

I do believe that Stars in their Eyes is now run be Endemol, but presumably they've only recently taken it over, and I can't think of any other programmes shown on ITV created by Endemol.

Nooo, ITV would make the show crap, making everything really flashy, and light moving around everywhere, just like on the American version.

Stay with C4 I say!

but honestly i thought daniel4389 would be the first to comment though

Anyway, i think that when it moves over to ITV, it will get more viewers.

I have to say that I 100% agree with you about DOND moving to ITV.

Stars in Their Eyes is a Granada production, but I think Endemol produce the other versions across Europe. Therefore it doesn't count.

to be honest wakey, i don't think DOND will be all flashy on ITV if it doesnt have a primetime slot, but if it does, it will, but theres no reason if it does move, we shouldnt like it. It's still DOND...

If they do put DOND on ITV, expect bigger audiences, everything mettalised, so possibly an introduction of cases, bigger studio with lights flashing everywhere, possibly the whole ITV idea of 'Pick someone from the audience to play' and of course a dodgy host if Edmonds ever gets fed up with ITV and quits, which is likely.

Of course, if Noel and the show agrees. They'll probably want it on his terms. Keeping the show as it is in Bristol. The only show we have seen with a defection to ITV was Blankety Blank where everything was kept the same.

You're all forgetting the one thing which will prevent Noel even considering the deal:

ITV will straight away stick 'Celebrity' before or after the title :-D

You don't see CBS trying to steal "DoND"! You don't see NBC trying to steal "TPIR"!, two of the highest rated network game shows in the USA!

When POG moved from ITV to C4, everything stayed exactly the same - the only thing that changed was re-naming the show to "The NEW Paul O'Grady Show". I do believe that when POG moved over to C4 in March 2006, ITV 1 pulled a stunt by showing POG repeats on ITV at the same time - so the schedules read:

ITV1 - 5pm - The Paul O'Grady Show
C4 - 5pm - The NEW Paul O'Grady Show
