Billy found this on BB and posted it in the chatroom...

http://www.haloscan.com/comments/brigbother/dealep317/

This must be preliminary... cos it's wrong, I think.

According to the article Kes posted a few weeks ago, there are 2 episodes on 25/12 and 26/12, not 1, as those schedules suggest.

And, what's all this about:

Tues 2nd Jan - 4.45pm and 8pm (marked as a repeat)
Wed 3rd Jan - 4.45pm and 8pm (scheduled for only 30 mins)

Like Billy said, perhaps the 30 minutes episode is a deal at the first offer? :P

EDIT: Ok, apparently there are many people to thank for this source!

EDIT (again): Sorry for all the edits, the post wouldn't format properly. :(

Well, credit should really go to Travis, or at least centrino04...but yeah.

Pros: They aren't going to schedule DOND against Doctor Who. Thank god.
Cons: Another Double Deal Week? This is going to be really hard to follow, especially at Christmas.

They're only preliminary, anyway...once the Christmas Radio Times comes out we'll know for sure.

According to Christmas Day there is a TBA for 7:45-8.30pm. Therefore it's possible that is for the primetime special. Still its too early to say as anything could change at the last minute.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Oh, dang, that probably *would* overlap with Doctor Who then.

It had better not, or C4 are fools.

That's never stopped millions of viewers tuning into Eastenders and Coronation Street! :D

I'm having my doubts regarding the DoND schedule over Christmas. As I've been looking at the Channel 4 Sales site and their listings. According to the listings for Christmas DoND is all set for 4.15pm Mon-Fri but Christmas Day & Boxing Day has got TBA while the rest of week is a mixture of TBA and shows which cover the 8pm slot.

I'm starting to have doubts here. The people who will know the answer to this is h2005 and his filming dates list.

Sorry, even I'm baffled! I think that at one point they do take some time off, but I'm not sure about that.

How will DOND fare over Christmas?

Here are my opinions on the matter...

Christmas Eve 5:15 - should do fine - Songs of Praise and Carols from Kings only attract a certain audience, and Chicken Run isn't exactly a major premiere.

Christmas Day 4:10 - Again, not much competition - except the My Family Christmas Special (assuming it's a new one), but that starts 25 minutes after DOND, so hopefully, people will be watching DOND and won't switch over to BBC1. We've yet to see what ITV 1 will show, though.

Christmas Day 7:00 - Eastenders, Pirates of the Caribbean and Emmerdale are going to be a struggle for DOND to beat - it's interesting though that they start at 7:05, and DOND starts at 7:00.

Boxing Day 4:10 - Not much competition, unless Freaky Friday is the premiere of the recent version, but still not much competition... unless ITV 1 pulls a ratings winner out of the bag!

Boxing Day 8:00 - Holby City is a ratings winner, so DOND may find it hard to keep up with them - also ITV 1's "TBA" sounds ominous...

New Year's Eve 6:00 - Not much competition.

New Year's Day - 4:45 - Not much competition.

Overall, I don't think DOND will do too badly over Christmas - even if ITV 1 put some ratings winners in their "TBA" slots, I don't think C4 has much to worry about! :)

Looking at the schedules, there's not much on to convince me away from DOND over the festive break.

Yeah, ITV are holding their cards close to their chest and that has to get C4 worried!

The best thing out of this is that DOND doesnt clash with Dr. Who which is usually the highest ranking programme on Christmas day.

They shouldn't switch over anyway. "My Family" is, quite literally, the worst thing ever.

There have been BBC 1 "comedies" which have been a lot worse; but all I know is that My Family always has been a ratings winner... and still is!
