Deal Or No Deal is competing to be the most watched show on Christmas Day. It is an outsider with the bookies, but Paddy Power put it at 25-1, joint seventh favourite, and far shorter odds than Top of The Pops Christmas Special, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and The Queen's Speech! That shows how popular it has become for them to be taking it seriously as a contender! :D

Here is the full breakdown as of today:

Eastenders 1-4

Dr. Who 8-1

The Vicar Of Dibley 10-1

Coronation Street 10-1

Little Britain Abroad 10-1

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 20-1

Deal Or No Deal 25-1

Monsters Inc 25-1

Doc Martin 28-1

Top Of The Pops Christmas Special 40-1

Ruby In The Smoke 66-1

Emmerdale 66-1

Who Want's To Be A Milllionaire 80-1

Green Green Grass (From Here To Paternity) 80-1

The Queen's Speech 125-1

 Is this chart referring to the 3.10pm epsiode or the 7pm epiosde of DOND on 25/12? I'm a bit baffled as to why it has beaten Emmerdale in the favourites list ranking, when every Christmas, each soap gets about 6m each. Doctor Who is on in the same timeslot, that got 9m viewers last Christmas, so I doubt very much DOND is going to beat Emmerdale in the ratings. :(

I have to agree with you about Emmerdale. I assume that these odds apply to whatever turns out to be the most popular episode of DOND. If was to have a bet, I would go for Coronation St. at 10-1. There's not much difference in popularity between Eastenders and Coronation St.

Yeah - I think that it is likely Eastenders and / or Coronation Street will come out top - - they'll fight for the top spot - one of them 1st, one of them 2nd; Doctor Who is likely to be 3rd (although could be 2nd) and then Emmerdale 4th. The Little Britain Abroad episode could also be in the top 5.

Bookies going 4/6 that Pirates of the Caribbean is the most watched xmas film.

Now thats buying money :-D

As far as Im aware, the TV markets are win only, but if some other Each Way then DOND not that bad a bet at big odds.

I must admit I can't really see it, but it does show how the show has grown into this huge brand in a short space of time.

It's amazing how DOND has grown in such a shot space of time, but there have been well over 300 episodes, nearly 350 in fact - I don't think Millionaire neared this number of episodes until after it had been on for a few years! In fact, I seem to rememebr Chris Tarrant mentioning something about having done 400 episodes at the Comedy Awards last week, although he seemed to be slightly tipsy at the time, so he may have got this figure wrong!
