Ok this has been done before but I thought after today's game i'd just see what most people would do in that situation.

If you were offered £170,000 with the top 2 remaining would you Deal or No Deal the offer?

I would personally No Deal as I would be more than happy to go away with £100,000 after taking the risk.

I think I would No Deal, unless of course I had a really unlucky game, I would be more than happy with £100,000!

No Deal, my reasoning is you lose 70k but stand to gain 80k, I would be happy with either.

I'm not sure what I'd do it that situation. I'd have to be incredibly lucky to be in that situation in the first place!

Dealers are only doing that to annoy me - they would really no deal.

As for me, that situation is a no-brainer no deal. No thought should even go into the offer, it would be a non-hesitant no deal.

The only time I could imagine someone dealing is if they had a £170,000+ target.

As much as I do love to annoy you, I honestly think that I would Deal in that scenario. £170k would be a fantastic offer and I wouldn't really see the point in risking the £70k for another £80k. Not everyone thinks "Two big amounts = No Deal regardless of the offer" - look at Lance!

Yeah, and Lance did the wrong thing.

I said no deal as a guaranteed £100k is amazing, but in all honesty I would probably have dealt before that point on a board like Donna's - I may have risked the £21k but dealt the £59k without a thought! :)

In Lance's situation, I would agree with you. But the difference between £75,000 and his offer, £87,000, is not all that great. What was astonishing is that he chose to no-deal in the previous round, with three blues still on the board and a good offer.

£100,000-£250000 board and an offer of £170,000 is a completely different matter. I would almost certainly deal in that situation. It would take an offer of below £140,000 to make me think otherwise.

While I understand the no-deal line of thinking, it is SO much more money to throw away, I couldn't take that risk and would not feel that much regret if I made the wrong choice.

PS Wakey I would love to see you on the show. I can see it now, every time another player does a sweep of the wings, you tell them not to deal, and have about 10 disasters to 1 success on your hands. Quality!! :-D

No Deal. If I won £100k I'd be absolutely over the moon...that money is life-changing.

If it was today I would say Deal and go into the Hall of Fame as "Biggest Dealer EVER" as its something that is rarely repeated. Remember its 231-1 for the same to happen again. If somebody has already done it then I'll think about it.

Yeah, I suppose there's a place in the Hall of Fame as the highest dealer, the "anti-Geordie" you could say!

(Edit: Lance certainly does NOT hold that record... though he would do if the current Banker had been there all along instead of the generous one from the early days...)

(Lance currently holds that record, so the "prize" for breaking that one would probably be something more like a bottle of vintage claret rather than a pint!)

What happened to Jennifer? :?

Well, you can either deal and become the highest winner, but no one can guarantee that you'll be the highest winner forever, no doubt someone else will come and take that record away from you. Or you can no deal and win £100,000 or no deal and become the first quarter millionnaire and no matter how many other people win it after you, you'll always be the first, and that is a guarantee.
