There was a thread on this ages ago, and it was discovered that they are supplied by Selfridge's in Bristol.

There isn't a Selfridges shop in Bristol - and Selfridges? They do designer clothes and stuff don't they?

Hahah, are you going to ask them for your very own Box 4? ;) (Or maybe a Box 3 that you can smash to pieces...)

Spartacus said they were supplied by Selfridges so that might not be intirely truthful as we dont who it is.

Yep soon you can buy your own DOND boxes for only £20 each or get the whole set for £400 bargain :)

But all someone needs is a box a bit of red paint and you can create your own. I might do that one day.

I wonder if they'll ever do official ones though.

While I was on the show I saw a room where things appeared to be being "made", including lots of "set" bits and bobs and props that were in various stages of contruction...including some boxes (some in different colours)..so I think that the famous boxes may actually be put togther at the studios?

I wonder what the life span of a box is before the decide to replace it with a new one. Where do the poorly deceased boxes go? I think that they should make sure that all of us on this forum get them!

In the new DOND book, there is a picture of them doing something with DOND boxes... I'm not sure if they were making them, or adding to them? Perhaps Selfridge's make the boxes, and DOND add the numbers, etc. to them?

Do they replace the seals everyday, and just switch the amounts around?

I think so, yes. Part of the seal is screwed on to the box, so I'd imagine they just replace the bit that gets pulled, and then they change the amounts in the boxes.
