Ever since Betty's £100k on a £10-£100k final two, it seems the banker has been a little more generous on blue-100k offers in active play or inactive play, even tho the £27,500 offer on 50p-£100k today looks about right, and I would have taken that.

If I recall correctly, Mavis's £23k offer on £250-£100k sounded stingy compared to today's inactive play offer.

Do we need another blue-Power Five gamble to pay off again to soften up the Banker a little more?

Very interesting point - they've been less generous than blue vs 75k offers probably sometimes because they're concerned about it not being won very often - the 100K box has only been won 3 times.

The trouble is I still don't believe this lot would consider gambling 19/20K on that anyway.

I'll be happy if someone just reaches that point at the moment! :)

After getting several people (Ajay and Woodsy for example) out of the chair for sub 20k, the banker should still be confident sticking in sub 20k offers with that final two, especially with this lot. Although that said, Mavis and Les did impressive no deals on amounts greater than that, so he may well creep the offers up gradually, although it really doesn't need to be more than 20k with 80% of people nowadays.

Ooh that was eerily prophetic given what happened in Les's game...

Hah, yes!!

For what it's worth, I say £20k should be the default on that configuration. It's also the lowest sum I'd feel comfortable Dealing on it. Doesn't mean I would Deal it, nor that I'd No Deal even less - but I'd feel uncomfortable Dealing a sub-£20k offer, but not a £20k offer.

Goodness, first I was a coward, then a Wakeyist, am I now a targetist?!?
