Hi all, I wont be making a habit of posting on this board but i thought it was only right that i come on to thank you for all the kind comments.
One of my main concerns was how i came across on my show. My aim was to play poker with the banker but in doing that i may of seemed flipant if not arrogant. Unfortunately thats the game. However after reading the threads about myself i was pleased to see that everyone has been really nice. Thankyou.
by the way, i love the site- keep it up.
Germaine.

The offers were woeful in your game. Hitting the £75,000 right after the second break instigated not only one joke offer, but two; the £28,000 offer with five on the board screamed 'we want to give away £250,000' to me.

Flippant? Most people would be after those offers. Arrogant? If you were arrogant, you'd have turned down the £75,000 (granted, that would have worked, but what if it hadn't?).

I think you'll keep the distinction of being the show's second biggest winner for a long time to come. (If anyone knows if this is true or not, don't spoil it.)

germaine, it's great to see you on here...the closest really we've ever been to a 250k winner, but i dont think anyone would have made a different decision to the one you made. after all, you could've won much less than 75k

take care :)

(If I'm totally honest..... I havent won enough, I want more !!) LOL.
Anyone know how to get on "who wants to be a millionaire???" :P

A bird in the hand really is worth two in the bush.

I'll still be in debt as i wont be paying off my mortgage. I'm only 32 and my mortgage is small so i intend to invest it elsewhere.

Hi Germaine

Welcome to the forums, it's great to hear from you. First I would like to congratulate you on a fantastic game and great win.

You came across very well on screen and didn't come across as arrogant or flippant at all.

Can I ask a question that quite a few of our members were debating after your game, I'll understand and respect if you don't wish to answer. At what level would have considered 'No Dealing' on the last offer? i.e what safety level would you have needed the lowest number to be instead of a £1 to go on and take the chance and open your box?

It's great to hear from you and your plans, it's always great to hear how the show has made a difference in some way.
