During the repeat of Kirsty's game on 24/11/06, facts came across the screen every so often - some interesting and some bizarre! :P Here they are, typed out for you in full glory, with my very worthwhile comments on them. ;)

The most money the Banker has paid out in a single week is £183,500. - The highest payout week ever is actually the week beginning 23/10, where well over £200,000 was paid out - however, that was only at the top because of the extra anniversary show on the Sunday, where David J won £70,000. The highest normal week payout is indeed £183,500.

Kirsty is 28. The average winnings of fellow 28-year-olds is a healthy £17,572. - I assume that this wasn't including Kirsty's win and 28-year-olds' wins since!

The highest opening offer of £20,000 was made to contestant Matt Borer.

Contestants who are not pet owners have won 20% more than those who are. - Ironic, considering pet owners have to spend more money - on their pets!

3% of winning contestants have bought themselves or family members a set of teeth. - That is a slightly bizarre fact. Assuming that fact is correct to 24/11/06, that means 3 people have done that.

The Banker's massieur is called Andre. He is believed to have no sense of smell. - That is just weird.

The Banker's lowest ever final offer was 21p - made to Sally Kettle, the first female member of the 1p club.

Box 22 has contained £250,000 eight times. - Is this correct to 24/11/06 or 4/4/06 (Kirsty's original game date)?

26% of female winners have bought their partners a garden shed. - That is actually quite a high number, assuming the stat is correct to 24/11/06.

The worst swap in history was made by Barbara Dobson who exchanged her £100,000 box for £1,000.

Ah, thanks for this! I was gonna do it myself, but...well, couldn't be bothered. I missed the one about Andre on original transmission.

And Adam L should know full well which week paid out £183,500! ;) (Although, actually, it's technically £183,500.01...)

Those facts are bizarre - and look like they are wrong. 20% of people bought a garden shed for their partner? Pah.

3% of 312 would be about 9, by my calculation...

Yes, you're right. I was thinking at the time of Kirsty's game in April, it'd have been more like 3 people. (3% of about 150).

Here's an interesting DoND related fact.

No-one has won £250,000 on the UK version of Deal or No Deal as of 26/11/06

Wow! That stat will probably have blown your mind.

:x I am absolutely FURIOUS with the papers for revealing who that person is. It ruins the whole show if you're always going to know who wins the big amount beforehand. There really doesn't seem any point in watching it anymore.

on the original transmission back in april none of the facts appeared, it was a real show.

Well, yeah...by 'original transmission' I meant Friday's repeat. So should have really said 'repeat transmission'. Sorta.

I saw Kirsty's game on real original transmission in April too. It'd have been extremely bizarre had not only they had random facts for no reason for one episode in April, but to reference games like Sally, Matt and Barbara, which hadn't even been filmed yet, let alone shown.
