Dan and I are arguing, er, I mean sensibly debating, in my weekly payout data thread about this. :D

Following on from DOND's move from Saturday to Sunday, does the DOND week now begin on Sunday or Monday?

Old week: Monday to Saturday
New week: Sunday to Friday, or Monday - Friday and Sunday?

Get voting! :P

Monday. First of all, the clue is in the name - Sunday is part of the weekend, not the weekbeginning. God (allegedly) rested on the Sunday, after His week of hard work...you wouldn't rest at the start of the week, would you? That would be crap. You do all your work during the week, then rest on the last day, which is Sunday!

Also, it messes up the DOND stats...under your system, the week beginning 2nd October would only have five episodes. Which is silly. The weeks were Monday-Saturday, but now Sunday has replaced Saturday, it's Monday-Sunday. Obviously.

Fair enough. Although someone did agree with me that the week now starts on Sunday (can't remember who, though :? ).

Monday. I don't like the idea of starting the week on a primetime, weekend show.

A primetime show is something you would watch at the end of the week, not the start.

As the Sunday show has just replaced the Saturday show, that still feels like the end of the DOND week. So the Monday show is the start of a new week as it always has been!

Yes, but careful, as some of the Sunday shows were originally Saturday shows.

It just feels that it should be a Monday as the beginning of a new week.

As much as it pains me to go along with Daniel, I've voted for Monday.
