Here are a few things that are stgarting to grate on me.

1.Other contestants poking there nose in to someone elses game. EG.Suzanne today.
2.All this 'lucky day' nonsence.
3.When a player says they're due a blue, cos they've had lots of reds. And sometimes it puts the player off, and they then open a big red. The 21 should just keep quiet.
4.Say if you open the 250K, and then the next box is a blue, and they cheer like crazy. What's there to cheer about you just took out the 250k!?

These things are just annoying me atm.

Stevie specifically asked Suzanne for advice. The player in the chair doesn't have to take the advice given either. I agree with your other points though, but they're hardly making the show unwatchable. They're just little quirks.

No they wouldn't put me off the show, but they're just little niggling things that are annoying. Like an itch you can't reach.

The thing is, if contestants don't give advice or their comments on the game, what's the point in them being there? It gives the viewer an idea of whether each player is a gambler and indeed what their own game could potentially be like. If they are reduced to simply saying "good luck" and opening the boex, the show could just as easily use models like the US version. Today it was ultimately Stevie's decision to play on, despite Suzanne's advice.

Nothing specifically against Suzanne - the majority of players seem to do it - but I don't really think things like that constitute as "advice". Advice based on the state of the board and offer is fine, but....does anyone really believe what they're saying when they go on about this "lucky day" rubbish? Same with predicting what's in your box...I don't understand why anyone says anything like that when it has no basis in fact whatsoever, and has the potential to be completely disastrous. It makes no sense!

...I'd make a crap contestant. I guess you just have to buy into these things with this show. But it really frustrates me.

I agree with the box contents predicting rubbish, but with the state of Stevie's board today when she asked Suzanne for her opinion, I think that the advice to go on, even if it was padded out with the clichéd "it's your lucky day" stuff, was warranted. The fact of the matter is, it was Stevie's decision to play on. She very nearly pulled it off, as well.

The only thing that is starting to annoy me, is they're constantly holding hands and chanting 'Blue, Blue, Blue' I mean do they really have to do it? The way they are behaving lately, anyone would think that all the boxes contain a blue! It's when they say things like "It's a blue" when no it's not a frigging blue its a box, it may have a red, it may have a blue, know one knows just open the bloody thing! They think that chanting and holding hands is going to miraculouly change the amount in the box. Well it won't! I don't mind if they do it when it's at a critcial stage of the game, but not every single box they open, it just loses it's appeal and is doesn't mean anything.

Rant over. :-D

I don't see the point in all the positive stuff once someone's chosen the box they're going to open - I mean, like someone has already mentioned, it's not going to change the amount in the box! I suppose it could make the player more focussed when they are choosing which box to pick, on the other hand, all the chanting, holding hands, etc. could put them off.

And I think that the only worthwhile advice from the other contesants is whether to deal or not - predicting what's in your box is pointless (unless it provides entertainment value like Colin's "stories", such as 5 elephants being in his box), and then if the prediction's wrong, they feel guilty, etc.

Yeah that annoyed me today. I was waiting for someone to restore the balance a bit and tell her there was real money at stake.

There's not much I don't like about the show but I hate it when a contestant choses a box and the box-opener says something like "I know it's blue!" or "I've just a blue especially for you X!" DON'T JINX IT FFS!

The hand-holding has never bothered me...I've never seen it as a way of trying to change what's in the box, just a way for the contestants to "support" each other as they're worried about what'll happen to one of their friends. The chanting is getting a bit silly though, especially as nobody did it until Raj's game and now they're doing it for every other box.

I have to admit that the whole blue blue blue chanting thing really makes me squirm. If a things looks naff - sounds naff - and makes everyone watching it squirm ....... etc etc The sooner that little party piece dies the better.......

Having played the game - and never once said anything more to the person in the chair than "Good luck" I also find the recent trend of box openers predicting what they have got really embarassing.

I have seen players so caught up in their prediction that they havent realised that they have actually opened the box and we can see that it is red while they are getting around to telling us that they think it is going to be blue.

Apart from that - I know that they have to keep the show fresh but I really do hope that they limit the number of times they ask the contestants to dress up and make prats of themselves.

That Eurovision song contest show really made me feel uncomfortable. I felt so sorry for Emma B having to play her game looking like a reject from an Abba audition. Players get to sit in the chair once so I think that it is only fair that they are allowed to look like themselves when they do so.

Exactly, but you actually gave proper advice as to what you would do, but thats fine! I hate all this chant / psychic / religious coswallop. The moment Fin came on the show, i thought that he was a real cool guy. Then when it came to his game, he becomes my most ever disliked player.

Then others started to follow. I cant remember properly, but i think it was Candice who followed in Fin's footsteps. And look what heppened to her game. Disaster

Well...it got her £19k! That sort of thing (the Fin/Candice approach to picking boxes) doesn't really bother me either - it obviously makes no difference whatsoever to what's in the boxes, but it's just as good as any other method of picking them. It's when they try and apply that to other people's games that it annoys me - I remember in Lucy's game, when Fin was in the audience, he said something like "That's a tricky offer...if you don't believe. If you believe, it's easy." Absolute rubbish...hopefully the result of her game made him reconsider that little theory!
