Countdown is Channel 4 daytime's legendary words and numbers show. It was the first programme to appear on Channel 4 in 1982, and has been a popular cult show ever since. Each day two contestants compete in 15 rounds of words and number games to become the Countdown Champion.
Countdown is currently looking for people to apply to be contestants for the new series of the show. We will be holding auditions up and down the country and there will be a Countdown audition coming to a place near you.
If you successfully pass the audition, we will whisk you to our studios in Leeds, Yorkshire, where you'll get the chance to prove to the nation just how excellent you are.
