OK, my 1st post, so be nice :P

My mate's 18th birthday is coming up, and due to the obsession with DonD in the student community, there is no better present than tickets to be in the audience.

Ok, so I'm asking:

1. How do I apply for tickets?
2. I'm 17, so will they check me for ID before I go in? (Ive heard its 18s only  )
3. If I apply for tickets now, and I'm successful, when will I get to go and watch it, as I'm pretty sure they only film for about 4 months a year or something?
4. And is there anything else I should know?

Cheers.

For tickets you either call 0117 316 0860 or email dond_audience@endemoluk.com. I've never tried, so I don't know exactly how the system works, whether there is any kind of backlog, and how soon you can get in to see a show. The minimum age is supposed to be 18. I don't know if or how they enforce this, but that is why fake ID was invented I guess!!

You have to be 18.

I applied over three weeks ago and still haven't had anything. I'm thinking of applying again.

You email the above mentioned address, then they usually reply back with an application form. You fill that in, email it back and I think they contact you to choose a suitable date.

2. It's 18s or over, but I don't know if they're strict/check ID.
3. I thought they filmed for about 9 months, but I don't know. I have no idea when there are filming breaks.

I'm going next week to watch some shows for the first time. I didn't have any problems getting tickets other than that there were one or two days they had fully booked. Welcome to the forum Mason :)

Try and go and see an evening show - then you get to watch two shows. (I think).

We only saw the one! :(

Yes, you either see one show early in the day, or two shows in the evening. I'm thinking of applying to be in the audience...

It won't happen, I'm afraid, due to the impossible logistics of getting everyone together in the same place at the same time... bearing in mind not everyone lives a short train ride from Bristol, LittleFrog! ;)

I am seeing two shows in the afternoon next week, apparently the filming is supposed to finish by 5.30 pm at the latest.

It could happen, there is another forum which I frequent, and we just had a manchester meet last week. It was ace, and everyone had a great time. There was also a london uber meet which I didnt attend, but i hear that was pretty fantastic :D

Back on topic, they told me on the phone that we would be filming in January. Another way you could work it out is:
There were 230 odd contestents in Season 1, and they film 3 shows a day. So 230/3 = around 76 days worth of filming. Not including weekends, this is obviously more than one month. I was lied to

Have you actually made it as a contestant, then?
