The way they record the shows has changed slightly, it used to be:

Show # 1 - 1:45pm, Show # 2 - 6:00pm, Show # 3 - 9:00pm

(Or approximately those times.)

However, it now would appear that show 1 is now recorded at 10:30am, with shows 2 and 3 soon after... and, according to Rico, filming is finished now at the latest by 5:30pm.

How will this change / has this changed the attitudes of the players? Is there still the same buzz recording the last show of the day at 5pm in the day as there was when it was done at 9pm? Are there fewer hangovers now they have to start filming early in the morning? Do the contestants now party from 5:30pm until the early hours? Or do they really stay behind for box opening lessons? I suppose it makes it seem more realistic for the viewing audience... it was always a bit strange watching a game at 4:15 and knowing it was recorded late at night...

Well that is what they told me as far as the day I'm going down to watch the shows is concerned. Whether that applies to all filming days I really wouldn't know. It certainly makes it easier for those travelling. I live about 45 miles away from Bristol.

Well, Rico, I heard from David3383 that they have made the filming of the shows earlier in the day.

It does make it easier for the audience. It was almost a no-no for me going down, as I live too far away to have watched the evening shows and get back for a reasonable time, but now they finish as early as 5:30pm, I may just be tempted to get off my backside and get down there!

Ian, I know exactly what you mean. I often think to myself, "Oh, they seem refreshed... this is the first recording of the day"... and I check mt filming dates table and it is.

I'm glad someone knows what I'm on about, and I do that thing about looking at peoples watches

If this is correct, i think it would be much better but then, i speak as someone who didnt go to bed at around 5am in the morning!! It is a very long day filming and the production crew in particular have to work their socks off doing a brilliant job, so perhaps this will be easier on them too.

I dont think it will effect the "after show" celebrations at all. More time at the bar in fact!!

Haha, Ian, it's good to know I'm not the only one who does that! Paul seems to have a watch that's easy to read... although the times it says haven't made sense at times... I probably don't have a big enough TV and a clear enough reception to get a perfect picture to read the time on it properly!

So they film ONE after the other..... Why not film 4?
