There have been a few threads about this in the past, but over at Bother's Bar they regularly monitor the audience figures for DOND over time (easily available from BARB, roughly 2 weeks later).

Wednesday 11th Oct scored 3.62m - the highest rating episode since June (Richard's Sunday show at the start of Double Deal Week was the last to top that). It was also C4's top rating programme in the week, with DOND filling 6 of the top 8 places! :D

That's good, hopefully Sunday's ratings will steadily increase too.

The popularity of the show was waning towards the summer break, but it has become very popular once more. I think the move to Sundays is a great move by Channel 4, and I can see ratings going up again.

Just looked at the recent figures for barb.co.uk and it makes positive reading for DOND. The move from Saturday to Sunday has given the show a ratings boost, and with a noticeable upward trend, it is not unrealistic to expect 4 million or more for this Sunday.

Here are all the targets that DOND needs to break to get back to its peak:

Over 3.70 million: Highest since June's game (26th May)
Over 3.94 million: Highest since Patricia's game (24th May)
Over 3.97 million: Highest since Jason's game (22nd May)
Over 4.25 million: Highest since Marcus's game (11th March)
Over 4.66 million: Highest rated ever!!

Only fourteen episodes have got a rating over 4 million. Hopefully the 1st anniversary show will be the 15th.

I'm just curious, but what was it rated on it's first ever day.

Now we are approaching the 1 year anniversery also, it will be interesting to compare the rating of the showson the same date.

What is on the other channels at the time to try and take the audience away?

There's childrens programmes on BBC1 and ITV1, usually something like Ready Steady Cook on BBC2, and a film on Five.

Yeah, 1.88 million for the first...more than Countdown before it, which got 1.80!

The 8pm show tomorrow is up against 'Incredible Animal Journeys', Snooker, Make Me a Supermodel, and a new episode of Heartbeat. So it'll only be the latter which'll be real competition.

Maybe snooker if it's live.

And at the 5.55pm slot it's up against Songs of Praise, Natural World, Bear: Life On The Street and Alice's Adventures In Wonderland!
