With Box 7 in the first Sunday game 8/10/2006 and the opportunity to swap it at the 2 box stage, with £1,000 and £100,000 still left would you have taken the swap?

I personally wouldn't but Barbara said she had her reasons and that she preferred blox 15. If it were me and box 8 was the other box out there, I'd like to think I would keep my box but I'd be sorely tempted to swap. Hindsight is great, isn't it?

Well as a few of us have argued on another thread, there's no mathematical reason why swapping or not swapping should be better.

But I don't think I would ever swap in this situation as it would be worse to have had big money in front of me all game then given it away at the end.

I'd only ever swap if I were left with two blues...or maybe something like £1k/£3k where it doesn't make much difference. Anything with a significant difference between the two boxes and I definitely wouldn't, as I'd feel too stupid if I gave away the bigger one.

No swap under any circumstances. It would be a lot easier for me to take if I'd never had the money in front of me, rather than giving it away. And I dont really have lucky numbers either!

I would only consider swapping with 2 blues or two reds that are close to each other, like £15k and £10k, but not with a massive difference like Barbara's!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

That's pretty much the only way someone's going to take Barbara's new record from her, anyway! (Either that or swapping the £100k for a blue...)

Barbara's was the third - Richard and Frank played on the Sundays at either end of Double Deal Week, back in June.

Ok so this is the first permanent Sunday then.

Well, on my simulation of everyone's game on the online game, Gary (the one who played on 11 May and won £1) would have swapped the quarter-mill away, and he won exactly...a quid!

(As he swapped, I had to swap!) :)

No way. I wouldn't swap a huge gamble like that, as the feeling that you've swapped a mega-money box away would be horrible. It's best to think "Ah well, the big money was never in here" rather than "AARGH! IT WAS IN THERE BUT I GAVE IT AWAY!!".

I could not agree more Billy. But I would NEVER ever swap. Whatever. Ever.
