Has anyone noticed within the past 3 weeks or so that those two amounts have appeared a total of at least eight times in the contestant's original box?

Of these appearances, #16 appeared twice (one of each amount), and the only odd # box in that span is the #15, which appeared exactly once.

Too bad none of these contestants won the amount in the their box...perhaps a backlash of the so-called "Khanny effect?"

It's not that - it was the fact that they were left with a Power 5 and a blue/honorary red (or had dealt earlier on a risky board)!

Donna - £75k/10p
Rosy - £75k/£5
Sarah-Jane - £50k/£10
Ashley - £75k/£10

It's really difficult to no-deal a 5-figure offer when the fallback is pocket change, it's too much to risk losing! It was easier for the likes of Hannah and Rhona to gamble at the end as they'd have only lost a modest 4-figure sum!

And the two who did go for it with Power 5's in their box (Barbara and Matt) managed to swap them away!

Wasn't it ironic that in the last week of September, the highest winner fo the week was Billy, the only one to have a blue in his box! :)

Both Ashley and I had box 16, both Ashley and I had the £75k in our box at the end, AND both Ashley and I had £10 as the other remaining box - now that's freaky!!

The chance of that happening must be about 1 in a few thousand...

Nope. Just 1 in 22 for each show, just because Steph had 16 and the £75,000 it doesn't mean Ashley couldn't have box 16 and £75,000.

but to be both left with £10 and £75k - that's gotta up the odds surely??

Not really! It may sound strange, but it's only 1 in 231! Well, 1 in 231 is still fairly unlikely but never 1 in a thousand.

It's not 1 in 22 - the chance of any player being left with £10 and £75k at the end of the game is 1 in 231.
