Noel Edmonds to host Britain's Got Talent?

Apparently Noel is in talks with Simon Cowell to present a new Saturday night show, Britain's Got Talent. It's basically Opportunity Knocks for the 21st century but glam etc. It will be big. What does everyone think?

Sounds like a good idea, but haven't we got enough of these talent shows on TV?

We probably have, but it's been very successful in America.

This one is a bit different. Anyone can enter, aged 1 to 100, with any talent. It sounds a bit corny to me...

A while ago, I heard that this programme was due to be hosted by Paul O'Grady and simon Cowell, but then POG had a disagreement with ITV and the show was cancelled, and he moved to Channel 4. Are they planning to show it on ITV1?

I'm not convinced about a show featuring Simon Cowell and Noel, not sure if they would gel together, but hey maybe I'm wrong! What do others think?

It probably would be live...but I hope it's not alive...I hope they scrap the idea...I can't see Noel EVER even WANTING to do a talent* show, why would he?

When I say talent show, I mean: Pop Idol / Popstars / X-Factor / Fame Academy / Soapstars...
