Deal or No Deal won the daytime programme 2005 Royal Television Society award last night.

I think this is it's first TV award

Here's a snippet from the press release about the award.

“The jury said that the winning show has re-vitalised Channel Four's afternoon schedule and they expressed both surprise and admiration that a programme about opening boxes could be so riveting. Warm and good-natured…”

That's great news, but have you seen what the competition was? Even someone who doesn't like the show would have to admit that DoND was a shoe in.
