I'm sorry if this sort of topic has been posted before (it probably has :D ), but what was the saddest/worst/most agonising moment on any show for you?

Mine would have to be watching Trevor win 1p. He was such a gentleman and it was such a great shame when the £250,000 went in the harrowing way it did. I know it was during Sequencegate, but I didn't follow the sequences so was unaware that Box 1 contained the £250,000. The offer he had previously (£9,900 I think) was absolutely ridiculous considering the highest sum of money was still there. I know the other four were blues, but surely at least £25,000 would be a fair offer!

What do you think?

Yep, definitely Trevor's game...what got me was the way he more or less stopped talking after the £250k had gone. All he said was "She did", "She will", "No Deal" and "No thank you". He looked so shaken.

Dot's game was also pretty horrible, although not quite as bad as she did cheer up a bit at the end when she found out she'd sort of beaten the Banker.

Sally's game was quite sad. At least she got her wish in the end!

The good thing about Trevor's game was that he was smiling and talking to the contestants at the end when they came to him.

Trevor's was sad, but I remember one lady who had had great offers, it was all going so well and then it went wrong and she was in tears as she talked to the banker but can't remember her name. Oh yeah it was Liverpudlian Clare, she provided a lot of energy and bubbliness in her game, so for me that was one of the saddest, but at least she went away with something over £1,000.

I found John G's game hellish.

It is a zillion times worse when you KNOW the player and his lass and really like them

Yeah it was cos he is a great bloke, but I didn't think it was a smart no deal on John's part, I think he would agree with that too!

Not really. John had two blues, £1k, £50k and £75k. Lance had three blues, £75k and £100k. Despite that, John's offer was £25k compared to Lance's £17.5k.

So John's board was slightly better, and I think it was just the fact it all went wrong for John and it all went right for Lance that made John's decision seem a bit reckless.

No...John's board was worse. His offer was also 99% of the mean, which made it completely ridiculous from a mathematical point of view. Still, if he felt that the risk was worth it, then fair play to him.

Ah right - I thought John had the £100K as well.

Exactly, he bet the house and lost, whereas Trevor never got in a position to do that but was one box away from huge money and ended up with a penny.

While John and Lance did have similar kind of boards, risking £25k to win a possible £75k is a lot more reckless than risking £17.5k to win a possible £100k. Lance had a 60% chance of keeping one of the big two and probably getting a higher offer.

Claire for me definitely, I don't think it was as if she took a reckless gamble, I think she just got carried away and was fixated on the £250k and the £100k, and had nothing to fall back on.

I missed Dot's game, thank goodness, as I'd only really been watching properly for about 6 weeks, and given the three games that came before it, may have put me off watching long term!

Just shows that games don't necessarily produce wins of peanuts to be upsetting :(

Oh and I found the end of Carlton's game really sad as well, when he said to has girlfriend that they could have a night out in the union for a tenner, and when Noel revealed the "£6,000 will set me up and clear my debts" having turned down £15k then knocked out the top 4 values in the next 4 boxes...argh! :(

I forgot about Clare's game. That was a bad game as well, not quite as bad as Trevor's though.
