I think you commented on another thread that it seemed to be the same contestants on a number of different shows and why didn't they give others a chance

But if this is wrong, please correct me.

Haven't you been on a couple of shows? If so, you'll know it's down to a mix of perseverance and personality. But the starting point is completing an application

I've been on ONE show, Spartacus, Countdown, many years ago, and the reason I'm not applying for 1vs100 is cos I don't rate my general knowledge that much, there are certain categories I could answer questions on, but generally speaking, I don't retain information enough to go for a quiz show, unless it's Weakest Link, as they don't look for good GK. :lol:

That is one show I would NEVER go on in a million years. It is nothing short of ritual humiliation, and if Anne Robinson started insulting me I'd want to stick one on her. I don't see the attraction in that quiz show at all I'm afraid. :roll:

The Weakest Link's alright, but I can't see why it's always the ratings winner in the 5pm - 6pm weekday slot, when it's up against children's TV on BBC1, and (at certain times of the year) Paul O'Grady on C4, which itself alone gets 2 - 4 million viewers. Mind you, I can see why anything would beat ITV1 in the 5pm slot, looking at what they've had in the past there. In fact, they were so desperate when POG moved from ITV to C4, that ITV1 showed repeats of his ITV programmes in the 5pm timeslot for a few weeks... so the schedules read:

ITV1: 5pm: THE PAUL O'GRADY SHOW (rpt.)
CHANNEL 4: 5pm: THE NEW PAUL O'GRADY SHOW

No wonder C4 had to call it the new POG show, what with ITV mucking about showing repeats in the same time slot... anyway, sorry, thread's going off-topic... sorry Wayne (the Brain!)!!! :-D

Yes Wayne I have an audition for this and another endemol show Made for Life in Bristol at the dond studios next Tuesday

Its not a quiz more a skill thing turning off lights etc at the right time, this is for a pilot, if you win its 10,000 a year for life in your bank account, glad to be back (sort of)

EXACTLY, h2005 - I answered all my q's correctly, but didn't get asked to go on the show, they tell you before you do anything that it isn't good GK they are looking for, and from watching the show, they DO pick nerds or people who Ann will have a pop at. :roll:

OOOn the other hand, at the countdown audition, I got all 8 and 9 letter words that were available, and only fell donw on one of the numbers games, but on the show, I failed miserably, but I had a great time and met Carol and Richard, and will never forget the experience, I'd do it again tomorrow if I could.

At my Weakest Link audition, they also told me they weren't looking for good general knowledge, they were looking for 'personality'. Which explains why, after being the strongest link in both of the rounds of the game we played, I wasn't chosen for the show...

I think you're putting yourself down MisterAl. Have you applied for 1v100? if not then get in there. I went to audition today and it sounds great. Chances of winning big time aren't as good as DOND, but who knows? Good fortune can happen.
