I stumbled upon this thread, and what do you think of some of the people laughing when people win the penny? My post is right near the end - the user called 'nik'.

I've been thinking about this, since I've seen it a lot.

On one hand, DoND has become popular. Therefore liking it instantly loses you kudos with people who like to make a fuss over being "different".
Secondly, I've seen people moan about how it's all "just random numbers" and "not a gameshow". I usually point out it's about the people, not the game...
Then you've got the ones who hate every contestant because, uh, they're people? I can't find any other reason other than "well you'd have to be a moron to go on a show like that".
AND THEN you have the kids who think it's hilarious when someone wins bugger all, and the other kids who laugh along with them because they want to be "cool".
The comment I've read that has annoyed me the most was some guy moaning about how people were always being compassionate and nice, and holding hands and wishing each other well.

From that I can only conclude that there are a lot of cynical, emotionally deprived people out there who are too wrapped up in their own angst to take an interest in others XD
