Quite a few memorable games have been broadcast on the 2nd of a month. But which is your favourite?

Ok, so Gaz is probably gonna get the most votes, but there's still quite a few others there. It doesn't have to be the best win, but just your favourite out the list, whether it means player or the game itself.

In the case of April, July and August, where shows didn't occur on the 2nd of a month (April and July were Sundays, August was when the show was on a break) I've put what shows were on More4 that day. Yes, Garvan's game was repeated on the 2nd April...think it had something to do with timeslot problems or something!

I went for Vanessa.

Why did they repeat Garavn's game on More4 in April? I remember it happening, but why did they do it? Did the player for that day askfor it not to be repeated?

I think it's beause Steve's game (which had been on C4 the day before) lasted an hour, and the timeslot on More 4 was only 45 minutes, so they had to choose a different one. Not sure why they went for Garvan's!

Yeah, I heard that too I think.

Probably because it was the first Saturday show of Series 2, and they usually repeat Saturday shows on the Sunday. I remember tuning in to catch the two subtle April Fool jokes in Steve's game ('Noel or No Noel' and Richard Oldman), as I didn't spot them before, and being surprised to see Geordie on the wings!

This one's easily reduced to two - Vanessa and Gaz, both of whom were given ludicrous offers and took him for big money as a result. But Gaz took him for five times more so it has to be him ;)

(Also because I said at the second break that if the board got worse I'd give up and watch Fifteen-to-One on Challenge...)

Steph wasn't great, but Gaz was amazing. I might have gone for Steph had she won £75,000, though.

I think it has to be Gaz... the turn around he had was amazing... the courage to gamble to get the £100k... etc. etc. made a really great game.

...And that proves my point about no dealing! Makes for better games (Yes, not always. But all the greatest ones were no dealing ones.).

Well, yes, I supppose you're right that no dealing often makes a great game. But in the other thread, I was talking about making maximum money, not making a great game... they're often two entirely different things...

It also makes for the worst games...I was depressed all night after watching 1p Trevor's game. I much preferred Melanie's!

...Yes, but at least 1p Trevor had a chance of winning £250,000. Infact, he could have won around £70,000 if he chose Jim and box 21. He still no dealed, therefore it was all because he chose the wrong box no dealing looks stupid.

Yes. If he chose Jim and box 21, he would have won around £70,000 which would have made for an excellent game, and people wouldn't have thought the desicion was so stupid.

(He would have won £70,000 because if he was offered that, on a 1p/£250K basis he would deal considering the dream he wanted).

I didn't think it was stupid at all...he was totally right to No Deal, and I think I'd have done the same. But the outcome still upset me, and I didn't really get much enjoyment from it.

But i'm sure some people thought the desicion was stupid and he was greedy, not me at all but there you go.

The outcome of your argument Daniel (About no deals and Trevors game) would have changed had he chose 21.
