... is there any specific blue you'd prefer to win?

For me, it would be the 1p, so I'd be remembered for something, or any of the four three figure blues, as they can at least get you a night-out with your mates, amongst other things.

Any other thoughts? :smt023

£750, as it is the highest value on the board which is coloured blue. That reason alone makes it the most desirable blue value to win, as the cash received by winning it exceeds that of any other blue coloured game value on the board.

1p as hogwild said, then you'd be part of the hall of fame :P

I'd want the £750 as it's the biggest amount.

£750. I could actually have a life-changing experience with £750 (heck, I've actually had an experience I'd consider life-changing that I could have paid for with four of the blues on the board).

Of the peanuts amounts, 1p would have a certain novelty, but I'd rather do a unique Deal on an awful finish.

£750 obviously for reasons already stated.

If I had to have one of the really rubbish values, I'd like 10p or £1 more than 1p, 50p, £5 or £10. There seems to me a comedy element to those two values more than the other 4. :)

The £250, £500 or £750. At least they'd be a "consolation" after a gamble gone wrong.

Yeah, I'd say £750 myself.

To me, £750 is a lot of money. It's more than I have at my disposal at the moment. I'm past the stage of wanting to be remembered for everything I do (maybe last year I'd have answered with the 1p, just to be in the Hall of Fame), so £750 would do nicely for me.

I would want to finish with 1p and 10p and ask the banker to offer me 0p. I would then deal 0p.

I'd want £750, for the reasons stated above. However, Mad Mark does not win blues, so this is kind of oxymoronic.

Also, if you win 1p, you're not in the Hall of Fame, you're either a complete idiot, in the Hall of Shame, or on Mad Mark's Blacklist (or all three).

£750 for reasons stated by others.
If I was left in live play with 2 blues between 1p and £50, I'd deal the final offer.

I agree re Hall of Shame.

Putting 1p winners in the Hall of Fame seems condusive to a positive attitude to the wrong circumstances, praising the players who fail abysmally (through fault of their own, or not).

I'm not saying it should be terrible and pathetic and depressing necessarily, to win 1p, far from it. But I'm concerned that the attitude towards it has changed too much over the years - people now (as we see here) want to go on the show and win a penny.

I see the "novelty" aspect of it, but really, after nearly 40 1p winners...is it actually as "novel" as it first appears?

You're both wrong. It's 98. The show's been on since 1987, remember? Back in '87, the top prize was only £10,000, but it then underwent several increases in order to become what it is today.

The Numbnuts 98, as I call them, have no place in the Hall of Fame, nor do they deserve to be mentioned. Such stupidity cannot be condoned, nor should it be honoured.

98? Well, we're nearly at 100 then! :D

Maybe number 100 should go into the Hall of Fame... :smt023 ;)
