Okay, It's back on our screens next week, and they have quite a few shows to get through already that were recorded in May/June time I guess, but have they started filming again in Bristol does anyone know, and when will these newly-filmed episodes start to hit our screens?

How long a Summer break did Noel and the contestants actually have in real time?

I thought they had recorded up to the end of "Series 2" (broadcast date sometime in November) but were then taking a longer break?

Don't know if they have started recording Series 3 yet but haven't heard any spoilers or reports from anyone in the audience recently.

If that was true then surely they'd be can't be far off filming episodes for Christmas round about now! Are you guessing, or do you have insider knowledge? They must have been well into October's shows without filming any new episodes, so if they only had 2-3 weeks off, then god knows how many more episodes have since been put 'in the can'.

That's what I thought. Someone somewhere must have some audience tickets for the new production block. Surely we'd have heard already if filming had kicked off again?

well i guessed anyway, and i failed miserably the lesson here is, dont try...

Shame. I'd have really loved to watch those Christmas episodes knowing that they were being filmed in the sweltering heat of August.

It'd be good when Series 3 starts to get a less huge backlog on episodes, anyway. The current one, which by September will be four months behind transmission, is silly.

Well, yeah, that was an exaggeration. Still pretty hot while I was in Devon last week, though, ditto the week before.

Yes, they stopped filming on Friday 16th June and won't start again till October. I saw a recording on Thursday 15th and was told this by a member of the production team beforehand.

Wow, didn't know they'd stopped so long ago. That means filming stopped just two weeks after Noel appeared on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, when he said that they were filming episodes for October.

The *real* Summer break will probably be unnoticeable like the first/second series break in December/January. It'll be fun to watch the last show before and first show after the break, though, knowing that they were filmed four months apart!

I bet there will be at least a couple of waiting contestants who disappear because they have other commitments when filming resumes (though hopefully to return some time in the future!)

There's sure to be a few slight changes in appearance as well...

Lawrence (one of the camerman) was in my shop last month (June) and he said they had started filming for December Xmas shows, and they had enough contestants to last till the end of the decade! (won't stop me trying though)

Hey I could tell you a story about that - I auditioned a couple of years ago for the new Bruce Forsyth "Play your cards right" and one of the questions he asked was "If you could take me anywhere on holiday - where would you take me me "? and I replied "I'de proberly take you to the south of France, Monte Carlo -, St Tropez- or even Nice ... to see you - to see you Nice (geddit?) ... but I still didn't get on!!!
