How long will Deal or no deal last? Will it become an institution like Countdown and go on for decades? The viewing figures might suggest that but does it have a sell by date, and will it prove less popular as time goes on? Would it continue without Noel if he was to move on to new projects?

In its current format I cant see it lasting for more than a few years.

If they put it into the big studio, big money format like the American version it would last a few more years.

I got no idear, it could be one of them gameshows that last for a long time and will get better as a year advance's. But i recon only 2-3 years because we are seeing the same parts of DOND again.

I have no idea how long it will last but as long as it has its cult following then it should be a while yet

I think it needed the summer break as it was in danger of burning out. I think it's seen it's "golden period" when it was fresh, innovative and exciting and will probably remain steady in the ratings, drifting around the 2 million mark, without really hitting the heights of 4million+ that it saw in March.

If it's true that Noel plans to quit at the end of next year, I don't know if it'd be such a success. I certainly can't see it becoming a Countdown and staying on TV for years to come.

Noel doesn't need the money and he is 58 remember. Almost drawing a pension. ;) :P

I suppose it's too much work. If a fresh face were to come in maybe it would last a but longer. Noely boy does a pretty good job though, jolly old chap.

It'd be a shame if he left.

I don't think an ex contestant would have the draw factor as wonderful as they all are

Sorry to say this but I think that when Noel goes DOND in the UK will go, at least in its current format. Endemol have enough business acumen not to labour a dead donkey, and given that they have created other gameshows, I can't see it coming back with a new presenter, except some years down the line in some sort of revival maybe. Noel really makes the show in many respects, that's why it is tough to think of someone who could fill his shoes.

I think it was always meant to be a show that would burn out fairly quickly, especially given the amount of episodes broadcast in a short space of time.

If it is going to come to a pre-planned end with Noel's departure it will raise a few interesting questions, what to do with the 21 who don't get to play, and also whether they will try to force a £250,000 winner by making joke offers if it still hasn't been won...

To solve those two problems they would have to have a special show at the end where one of those contestants is guaranteed to win the £250,000 and everyone else has to settle with........nothing! :?
