I would actually have to say Brenda, to be honest :)

But out of them? Kirsty, most definitely.

i'd say Kirsty too, between that list. She had the 3 things i always look for in a contestant: Sexy, Courageous - goes to the end, and high earning - won a lot of money. :)

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Her "game" was rather average. Her show was good though.

I think Gary's £29,999 game wasnt any better - in excitment or game factors.

I'd say Hilary or Gaz out of that lot (bearing in mind that I never saw Jennifer's or Mally's). I voted for Hilary, because:

A) Nobody else had.

and B) It was at the end of that really rubbish week, which made it even better.

I voted for Saj because she also had a great turnaround, she had box 11 and she was quite pretty.

Gaz for me. Took out £250,000 in the first box and went on to win the £100,000. He took it all in his stride and was extremely calm and humble throughout the show. He took a big gamble in the end and it paid off for him - I think in terms of emotion and satisfaction his game was the most enjoyable. The game seemed to be constantly going downhill but he pulled it round.

And that priceless line...

Noel: "The offer is £1,000 Gaz. But as you're an ice-cream salesman, he's going to stick a 99 on it!"
(Noel, Gaz, conestents and audience laugh)
Gaz: "Can you phone him back and tell him I put hundreds and thousands on mine!"
(Everyone goes nuts!)

Out of that lot, probably Gaz. If I had carte blanche to choose my own favourite from a player not listed above, it would be Lucy or Geordie. Perhaps Mally would be in the mix as well. Its just soooooo difficult to pick a favourite! :D

The question is best game though, not favourite contestant... However much you like Lucy and Geordie - and I would rank both among my favourite contestants - you have to admit they had pretty horrible games!

Granted Lucy's and Geordie's indivdual games were horrible to watch, but they were memorable if nothing else. Distinguishing between a favourite PLAYER and a favourite GAME are indeed two entirely different things, as some element of merging of the two is inevitable.

That begs the question though as to why 1p Nick is in the running. His game was pretty horrible to watch also. For pure turnaround from a truly horrible beginning, the best ending of all time to any game truly belonged to Gaz, who ended up with £100K.

No Brenda?
No Show 56 Dave?

Out of the ones there, I'm torn between Gaz and Morris. I'll say Gaz because of its really, really Happy End.

Gaz, followed by Hilary; both showed up the Banker's poor strategy and took him to the cleaners, but Gaz did it more spectacularly.

Gaz has to be the best game because he had such a bad board for so long, and the odds were stacked against him when his courage paid off to win the second highest amount in DOND history! It was great too when his wife supported him in taking the gamble at the end. Like Kirsty and her partner too, they seem like genuinely nice people as well.

i voted for morris anyway because this was the 2nd game i thought he was going to win £250,000 after he turned down £101,000. the others were Brenda ans Shirley (was that her name who got offered £55,000 turned it down and took £250k out last box of the round?)
