Something else to discuss! Are there markers on the table so the contestant knows where to put it? John (I think it was him), seemed to be lining it up perfectly with something!

Yeah, you can see the little markers on the table that the boxes just fit inside. I think this is only a recent thing, maybe the last couple of months as I don't remember them at the beginning or even around Christmas time. They have become more and more obvious recently.

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

I really meant when they put the box on the Pound Table.

there's a circle in the middle of table and the audience mic is always in place to line the box up against.

I don't think it's a recent thing, I would think they've done it all the way through, but lately they've been showing the bit where it's lined up rather than editing it out.

The markers on the table have been there since the first programme. They can be seen. There are two small marks ion the table; the player is told to align the front corners of the box into these markers as they reach the table. :D

But why does it have to be so perfect, so it looks good for the camera's. Maybe, but I have another thought. In the bottom of the box there is a really tiny hole and on the table there is a tiny hole and what the banker does is he feeds a tiny camera up the table into the box so he can see what's inside :)

There was no visible hole or any mark/difference of any kind in my box when I played. After the box was placed in front of me on the wing and whilst other players were being given their boxes, I picked mine up and looked it over. It was a red box. Absolutely nothing remarkable about it. Other players did the same, so i think your hypothesis is fundamentally flawed at this stage. :D :D
