I don't remember but if I was guessing, I would say they dealt at the final stage and the only thing left to do was open the boxes?

if you look on our stats page, it should say what the offer was, and if they'd already dealt, it wont say whether they would have dealt or not, in any of the games, as they werent asked. by the way, the offers were:

Haleem - oh yeah! it doesnt say! maybe it was just an error or something

Dilys - ok... it says exactly the same thing - nothing! But I reckon Dilys's offer would probably have been something in the region of 400 quid.

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

I think in the early episodes of the game, they did things a bit differently in order to save time - so that it could allow Noel to explain the game as they went along.

I don't think the first ever game even had a proveout / post-deal round, they just went straight to open Lynne's box after she had dealt... although Noel had spent 5 minutes at the beginning telling everyone who he was and how the game worked... actually, he said nothing about himself, just about how the game worked!

There's a footnote saying that the contestant had dealt so no offer.

In the very first games the contestants were told that the banker would not offer a swap. Players were told that the 'swap concept' might be introduced later, but first the public had to get to know the gameplay. a player asked for a swap during the game but it was edited out and the player was told not to ask again.
