I don't think the show would work without Noel.

Who's Noel Endmonds? ;) Yes, I know, it's just a typo... but seriously, I don't think the show would work without Noel either... let's hope he stays for a long while yet!

Noel is Mr DOND, I don't think it would be as successful if there was another presenter - I only applied for the show because I wanted to meet Noel - and that's the god's honest truth!!! :-D :-D

i agree i dont think you could replace noel on the show. its the same if chris tarrent ever left who wants to be a millionaire.
you only have to look at some other gameshows to see that when they replace them its never as good. the only one who has taken over well is des lynam on countdown, richard whiltey was brill on the show but des seems to have fitted in well.

lol thats my ramble over..... for now ;) haha

If Edmonds does step down. Then it would be handed over to either Les Dennis or Brian Conley since they were considered to host.

Everyone said countdown would be a no-goer after Richard Whiteley, but after a shakey start, Des Lynam has done well on there.

Masternmind changed presenter without losing anything

I reckon these shows would still go on and be watched with different presenters. No matter who is first to present any show, they will always be revered as 'THE SHOW' but in actual fact they're NOT the show, they'r doing a job anyone who is a good presenter can do.

I think Noel is doing a fantastic job, but if he weree to leave it, I can thinik of quite a few who would do as good a job as he does.

Stupid typos :). Anyway for me if Noel ever quit the show I think it might go downhill a bit. I'd still watch but the interaction Noel has with the player's and banker is part of the show and I feel if anyone took over they'd either do it different or try to copy Noel. Because the majority of what Noel does is unscripted I think (correct me if i'm wrong).

It wouldn't be the same without Noel, but if the show continued without him, I would go for another ex Radio 1 DJ, Simon Mayo.

I think any replacement would try too hard to copy Noel, anyway.

If I was forced to choose and its a hard act to follow it would be Bradley Walsh

I couldn't contemplate DOND without Noel. I think they fit each other perfectly and Noel is happy with the show and they are happy with him. I think Noel enjoys the freedom he has on the show, it's a throw back to the House Party days where he ran the show.

Haven't we said before somewhere on here, it'd be nice to have some "guest" hosts. Maybe just for a week, it'd give Noel some time off!

It would probably make us appreciate Noel even more then anyway 8)

Noel is having 4 weeks off soon!

He's a self-confessed workaholic and takes pride in his commitment to a job/project - I don't think he'd want a break!!

PS I hope he doesn't read this thread, as you are in danger of putting ideas into his head. ;)

Yeah I suppose he wouldn't. He has made the show what it is and I reckon it would be difficult for him to see someone else taking over!

Yeah, and House Party lasted for a good number of years, finishing in 2000, I think.
