The idea of a forum members/contestants 'meet-up'/'get together' has been suggested recently by both fans of DOND and contestants, so we thought we would look into it and see what sort of interest there would be in such an event.

I have contacted a previous contestant from the show who has kindly offered to ask the contestants for their thoughts and to get an idea of numbers interested in this.

What I really need to know at the minute is who would be interested in attending such a 'meet-up' and what sort of dates/locations would be suitable. I do know that a number of contestants from the London area are interested in such a 'meet-up', so that is a possible location for the meet.

Obviously with such an event there is never going to be 100% agreement on location or dates, as members/contestants are spread all over the country and have various commitments, so please bear in mind that an amount of travelling and possibly over-night accommodation may be required for yourself if you are interested in attending.

So at the moment if you could confirm your interest in such an event and also perhaps give an idea of possible dates that are suitable and the locations that are easily accessible for you to travel to.

Hopefully we can pull this together and have a fantastic time.

I'll get the ball rolling by saying I am of course interested, anytime in June and to be held in Cornwall(joke ), seriously now - anywhere along the M4/M5 corridor/London/central UK for me.

Well I wouldn't want to go all the way down to London, but I'm interested as long as its after 12th June (my Law exam - my last AS exam), 26th June (going on a tour of Concorde) and 2nd August (my birthday).

Yep sounds all cooky to me, too, although I agree with greeny, I'm in the same year and so my exams end in June so I think July sometime would perhaps be best? Anywhere would be fine I travel on the train lots to visit family so give me a location and I'll be there The nearer Southampton, the better

The further north towards Liverpool the better!

What about Bristol? That might bring back some happy memories for the contestants!

Here's my tip if you are having travelling difficulties:

Climb in a box and get a friend to post you Royal Mail Special Delivery. You're guaranteed to arrive unharmed the next day before 1pm! Which means that if you die in transit, your friend will get his postage costs refunded!

I'd be up for it - have to be end of June onwards after my exams, but am flexible. Can do London/Birmingham as not too far on the train for me, but open to suggestions.

But if I WAS going to, then anytime after my degree show finishes so towards the end of June or anytime in July/August would be fine for me. As for location I'm in the North West of England so anywhere up here would be preferable, however I have a little banger that might get me a little further .............. anywhere really is fine with me. How about the seaside ? It is summer after all !

That's a good idea! Assign yourself a number, and when you arrive, the host can pick boxes throughout the night to open and reveal a member.

Central England / M4 Corridor sounds good to me.
Also Autumn would be a good time to hold it, as it allows plenty of time for organisation, RSVPs etc, and also I'm working all throughout the summer (as a lot of students do). So September time would be best

For me, September would be the worst time for a meet-up!

September would be great especially on the weekend of the 15th (my birthday then ) Ill attend (hopefully) as long as its near the east midlands. We are pretty much in the middle of England so travel time would be reduced for almost all parties involved.
