Yeah, there’s been quite a few on or above the mean in live play at 2-box, the most glaring No Deal’s being Kerry-Anne’s £140k, and the perhaps more understandable £160k on a £50k/£250k finish by Rich. On a lower scale, Gary’s £4k ND on a £750/£5 was a bit baffling too. And who can forget Mally’s 5-box deal for pretty much bang on the mean at £54,000!

Sophia's game:

Very marginal call at 8-box for DE - a Deal by £45.02!. Pretty close at 5-box too, so an interesting game for analysis. Sophia's ballsy attitude netted her a ridiculous final offer of 120% of the mean! Almost as if the Banker doesn't want anyone to join the 1p club in this "be kind" version of the show! :D

Simon's game:

Unsurprising that DE deals at 3-box, as 10p/10k would be a definitely loser with old banker rules (not with this one though! ) Pretty unlucky game, but a few takeable offers, the banker feels he can splash the cash in this reduced-budget edition, and that's not really in keeping with his persona of not wanting to buy the box, especially in trainwrecks, but never mind... :D

Gives opportunity for DE to make hay with a commanding 9-1 lead with 2 draws - now cannot be beaten this series! :D

Chaniece's game:

Image

Perhaps a bit cheap, but at least at stakes that made a deal justifiable and understandable, I think I'd have probably pushed on 1 more round and opted out at £14.5k like DE given the volatility, although it is quite problematic with this late game generosity...

10-1 to Deal-Eye with 2 draws and DE wins the series already!

Deal Eye continuing to benefit from players either being extremely cautious or extremely gung ho while the moderate approach pays the most consistent dividends.

Reece's game:

Didn't look like DE was going to grab the point today, I can see the reasoning for declining £8,400 but absolute madness at the 2-box offer, and dare I say it... a blue win was probably deserved in the end.

11-1 to Deal-Eye, wasn't expecting this dominance!

Jane W's game:

Image

A familiar story, sensible offers rejected early as they're considered modest sums and players are stretching perhaps too much on this reduced board, then the banker comes out with another ridiculous above-mean offer at 2-box, and the player STILL deliberated over it and the audience barely claps decent offers anymore!

12-1 to Deal-Eye!

If only Pete had played on...

Image

Very marginal No Deal for DE at 8-box, and a slight drop in generosity at 5-box allows it to grab its highest win of the series. In the old version, £45k-ish would've been more than decent on that final 2, and it's going to be virtually impossible for DE to win £100k (or even much more than this) with these ridiculous 2-box offers!

13-1 to Deal-Eye with 2 draws!

Rochelle's game:

Image

Unsurprisingly, the first "HOT" game on the Thermo-Stat. Deal-Eye takes a slightly cautious Deal, only wanting a tad over £5k at that point, and just a tad over £6k at 5-box. It was well overdue a thrashing, and perhaps Rochelle is the right kind of casting for this version, as that was genuinely exciting! :D

13-2 to Deal-Eye.

Joseph's game:

Image

A lot of DE's estimations have to be taken with a pinch of salt with this new banker, and the players are starting to cotton on to the increased generosity that wasn't as marked in the original. That said, very sensible decision at 5-box, despite the disastrous proveout. Late flurry for the players! :D

13-3 to Deal-Eye!

Interested to see what Deal-Eye would've done today, I know it's aggressive on 2 box games at 5 box and 1 box games at 3 box so both of those offers would've been marginal for Deal-Eye I think.

Yes, probably the most interesting game for Deal-Eye to date! :D

Image

Indeed two pretty marginal calls, I feel the aggression for DE now in these 2-box games is quite well balanced with the new banker and only 2 to open. Well played by both sides really, and DE grabs the marginal point, which seems just rather than the ridiculous 2-box offer!

14-3 to Deal-Eye! :smt023

Wow, DE securing a win with a very narrow margin of just over £746 to push on to 3-box!

Michael Owen:

Image

Don't know what to think of that really - amazing run to end up with 6 reds, but seemingly we ended up with a relative trainwreck, it would've been a phenomenal game on the old board, but this one kind of fizzled out. It'll probably be one of the best games in this version for luck, yet still felt quite average.

Somewhat surprising point for DE, although in fairness I think Michael knew it was an AMO but felt it was a bit boring to reject it! :D

Simon Gregson from Corrie:

Think I might've been as gone at the same time as DE today, although it was a pretty borderline decision, and justifiable to go on, and a more than justifiable deal at £15,300, and a bit of an unlucky proveout. With this banker, you'd have to presume £100/£50k would've been more, but very hard to predict and too much to risk for most, let alone when playing for charity so good result! :smt023
