A quote from Remarkable (Endemol) says "Each week, a contestant is confronted with 22 sealed boxes, each one hiding a different amount of money".

Looks like it could be a weekly show then (possibly with friends and family on the wings each episode, like the 'On Tour' shows?), but the 22 boxes are retained.

Stephen Mulhern's also posted a video on Twitter and he's got one of the old boxes, so looks like they may be returning too. He says he watched DoND while growing up - that's presumably a joke as he would've been 28 when it started!

The official website is now a holding page with info on the application process (also at the link in the previous post). It says filming will take place in the first two weeks of July.

'Remarkable' seems apt - I'd not expected the comeback to amount to much but here we are, ready to toast a new era. A rising tide might float all boats, but I was under the impression DoND had been well and truly scuttled...I'm looking forward to seeing where that tide carries us on this forum.

Ah, well, yes! I think there would be some appeal to new fans to join us here, as what is now 'retro' tech seems to be coming back into fashion...teenagers have apparently been using digital cameras for the novelty effect, having used smartphones all their lives (just wait until they discover film, they'll think they've travelled back to the Dark Ages ) so it's not inconceivable that a younger generation, who might also be exposed to DoND for the first time, would approach this forum with a certain curiosity.

I hope that happens, I must say, I'd quite enjoy being a wizened old oracle spinning yarns from the good ol' days of yore...

You do know you would be widely ridiculed both on here (and by at least 3 people in particular) and on Twitter if you did go at the 1st offer? But everyone can play the game how they want to.

The Banker would do his research and make sure you get a 1st offer low enough that you wouldn't take it.

There's a reason why no one ever took the 1st offer despite the show having a numerous amount of ubber cautious players.
