Dont you guys think the audience can be a bit dodgy? When the £100 went in Roys game, they hardly screamed, they just went 'yay' like a normal blue just went...

And in Kirstys game, when the £3,000 went, they just went 'yay' and considering it left her with the top 3, i would have expected a bigger scream.

However, Gaz's game, when the 1p was revealed, they went crazy!

I think it also varies depending on whether the game is recorded in the afternoon or evening. The evening recordings tend to attract more university students, so are obviously louder.

A few facts:

Roy's game was the 2nd recording of the evening
Kirsty's game was an afternoon recording
I'm not sure which Gaz / Gary / Gazza you're referring to, but funnily enough, all the Garys have been 2nd of the evening recordings, except for £100,000 Gaz, who was an afternoon recording.]

But Roys game was quiet, and Gaz' (100,000) was louder! That contradicts everything!

Well, exactly, that's my point - I was just providing the facts! :-D (Actually, I forgot to add to the bottom of my post that there seemed to be no correlation between the two factors for all three of those games  )

And it isn't necessarily based on the contestant, either, I mean Roy wasn't quiet, was he...

I'd have thought the afternoon ones would have attracted more students..........

Most shows tend to use "canned"clapping as they use it to dub over any unusually quiet moments on the show.

Yeah, they definitely do that on DOND, there's one particular laugh that can be heard once every few shows... and it definitely isn't Noel. :?

It's just a particularly high pitched "haha" that can be occasionally heard from the audience, once every few shows, and I think it's from a laughter track. Either that, or they have the same poeple in the audience, which they don't. I suppose it could be a crew member, but the laugh sounds dentical each time! :? :D :-D
