I haven't watch DOND for a long time until I heard about the final Dream Factory show being on that day, followed by the two week On Tour, but what was the deal (pun not intended) with the opening credits pausing on Noel's face with the music going all muffled? Were they running too short and they bodged it to run an extra couple of seconds? It looked really out of place.

On the 'original' titles before the Tour shows the slow down is to reference the offer button part of the game (So the titles show someone hitting the button hence they slow down for a second).

If you don't know what the offer button is, you haven't watched for a VERY long time

Is that the big blue button? For quite some time, I've only seen bits of the show while at the gym so I'm not aware when that would or wouldn't come into the game. From the final Dream Factory show, I got the impression it's something to do with whether they guess the first offer right from the banker, but then for reasons unclear to me, they ditched that completely for the On Tour shows.

Even if they did have it on the On Tour shows, unless the 10% margin for error changed it probably would've been in play once or maybe twice tops given how terrible the wingers were at predicting offers towards the end of the studio shows.

Besides, the last batch of Dream Factory shows made clear that the Button can hurt games far more than it can help them on most occasions. I make it out to be roughly 2 out of 3 times the button either caused a player to stop short of a big offer they possibly would've gotten in conventional play (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=27679&start=20) or lured them into going one box too far and crash (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=27737&start=20). And even when neither of those things happens, the button almost always gets the player just a few grand more than they would've won normally (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=27712&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=20).
