After seeing Max's astonishing final offer of £180,000, which he missed out on and has broken the record for DoND's all-time highest offer. It certainly would've been interesting to see what he'd have done if he had been in play at that stage.

But what would you have done, if in that situation? Given it was above the average AND the highest offer ever made in DoND history (Bear in mind Pat from March 2014 dealt at 2-box when she had the dream finish). Would you have taken the honour of dealing for the highest offer ever made and having a clear spot for DoND's second biggest winner? Or would you have still played on hoping for the confetti, and knowing that you were guaranteed £100k

I'm honestly not sure what i would've done!

Sadly, I wouldn't of had the honor, as I would've dealt £55,000 at 5 box. :(

If I did face that situation in live play I definitely would've dealt, as:
1. It would forever guarantee my place in the Hall of Fame as UK Deal or No Deal's highest Dealer.
2. It would set me up for nearly twice as long as £100,000 would and
3. There's NO WAY I'd risk £80,000 just for a 50/50 to win an additional £70,000

To be honest, anything higher than £170,000 would be a definite Deal for me on the Dream Finish for the above reasons.

I'd have gone before then but there's no way I'd do anything but instaDEAL £180k.

Pat's £170k was the highest offer ever made in live play right? With only four hypo-offers (£70,000.01 Gaz, £26k Leanne, £31k Sara and Max's yesterday) higher than it, correct?

I'd have been gone at 6 or 5-box so the £180k offer wouldn't apply to me.

If I did make it that far, I would be dealing INSTANTLY. Declining an AMO is a silly gamble to take no matter what you have left on the board.

Marginal NO DEAL for me, because by this point there's no need for me to chase the money anymore, and I would certainly be chasing that glory. I'd deal for £200k, not sure what I'd do at £190k though.

Deal at £180,000. I could gain £70,000, could lose £80,000. If I'm in the chair and in that situation, there's no contest.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Yes, and you'd probably Deal £1,800 on a 1p/£250,000 finish as well. ;)

A more interesting question, would you deal at an offer of 6p on a 1p/10p finish? ;)

With Box 23 in play, I actually wouldn't. I'd rather try for the 1p and the possibility of joining the HALF PENNY club. Make the offer 5p or 7p and I'd gladly take it, though. :P

You are a strange young man, my friend. Wasting all of that mathematical and statistical knowledge on wanting to win an amount of money that has not been minted since 1984. Where's the sense in that?

Had I been playing, I'd have most likely dealt £180,000. You want to make history by doing something asinine; I want to do so by taking the highest-ever offer.
