I think that the experience of being on DOND changed all of us for the better.

Every single contestant met someone in Bristol that they returned home richer and happier for having spent some time with.

Think of someone you have met in the past who makes you smile whenever you think of them and you will know what I mean.

DOND still makes me smile.

Everyone that I met down there really seemed to enjoy life already.

Please excuse me if I sound rude but normally I dont like much of what you write, yours was one of the first games I ever watched and I didnt like you (I now know its beause you were not yourself due to the "hospital" incident so thats fair enough) but what you have just said was FAB.

Alot of people dont care what they win (im going on what has been said previously), they are there for an experience and they make lots of new friends.

Thanks for the nice comment. Its ok for us viewers (and I class myself as a viewer and fan of the show) ... well it is ok for us not to like some contestants. No need to apologise about that.

I think many contestants have had a totally unique experience. I'm amazed by the post show 'bonding'; a very close web network, 1-2-1 phone cotact and, of course, the reunions....London, Bristol, Blackpool and more. And life with a large group of strangers isn't necessarily a barrel of laughs. Yes everyone is there to have a good time etc, but there will always be some difficulty. And the production team are acutely aware of this and, IMO, handle it well.

Some players appear to have made some genuine friends, some are still reliving every detail of the experience, some have been there, done that and moved on. It's certainly unique and for me making one good friend out of the many people I met was an unexpected bonus. That hasn't happened with any other show I've been involved with. The winnings have changed my life for the better. No credit debts;all paid off, a lump sum gift to my mum to make her life easier (at 83) and a good few bob left for me to play around with. So all in all it was belting.

Dear All you are asking if DOND changes your life -it has to, if only in a little way . As someone says you can't like everyone you meet. The people I met on DOND were a great bunch. There was one however who was very rude to my husband who is a great guy(as anyone on Dond would tell you). We are asked to look after anyone who comes into the Group which he was doing .She was sitting in the audience next to him and he was pointing out different things to her, for her information. "I have been in a Studio before said Miss Know all" My husband closed his mouth. She was the poorer for not getting to know him. He wasn't the only one she was rude to -but you always meet 1 don't you!!I think I have met some friends I will keep forever. PatM

What a shame Pat. As you say - her loss. All the family and friends that we around when I was there were welcomed into the contestants family and had a great time.

Sorry to hear this Pat. I have a feeling I know who you are referring to, and I for one didn't think she came across well on screen. Hopefully people like that are the exception and not the rule, as most contestants seem to get on very well which is reflected on screen.

Indeed, from speaking to JT in the past, it was very evident how well he got on with everyone, and how his life had been enriched for it. For the record, he was a fantastic, genuine bloke himself and a great asset to the show.

Oooooo a guessing game! Does this contestant's name rhyme with "wax"? ;)
