What would be the maximum financial amount you've won in regular gameplay that you would be prepared to risk to Deal Box 23?
Vote in the poll and you can give your reasons why below.

I've gone for £5,000. I could cope with losing that knowing it was only a 1/5 shot. Any more I would have huge regret.

No more than £10,000 without question. However, after hypothetically selling the £75k for the lowest it's been sold for thanks to Box 23 in Pedram's game, I'd be more inclined to chase a five figure offer as I'd rather not have to worry about Box 23 in the first place.

I would risk it in the low 10s but anything £12,500 or above is where I'd decline Box 23.

I would have a big regret if I saw any five figure sum reduced by half or disappear completely, it wouldn't be worth the risk, even anything above 5K would have to be seriously considered. It's easy to look at this in isolation, but I've noticed that the banker has pitched one or two hypothetical offers in the proveout on the basis of a Box 23 uptake, maybe as a way to entice the player to pick it at the end.

So far we've seen one player deal Box 23 and 3 reject it. It will come down to how much the player has won, whether they are risk prone, and perhaps also whether they want to turn a Banker Win into a Player Win if the timing in the gameplay has not worked out for them.

Actually, thinking about it some more, I have changed my mind and would only risk it up to £10,000 because losing a five figure sum would be horrible.

I'd go for Box 23 on £5,000 or less. Any more than that is just too much to risk for me.

Going for Box 23 with a higher five- or six-figure sum, including the £250,000 would just seem like a really, really bad idea. Just saying.

Put it this way: if someone won £250,000 and lost it to Box 23, both of us would be perma-banned from both here and the Deal or No Deal Facebook page.

IMO, the only people who are gonna go for Box 23 are blue winners (either trainwreck sufferers, or riskers who crashed like Kash), or orange winners after a low stakes game (like Harry, discounting his extra money).

Mind you, the latter may well keep their money too; the current batch of wingers value money too much to risk losing it. I mean, Joey practically admitted he only took Box 23 because he expected it to have something good in it for its first game.

As for the actual thread question, I don't know for sure, but it certainly wouldn't be any more than £5,000.

I wouldn't want to risk too much not just because of the possibility of losing the money but also because I like the idea of receiving a cheque of whatever amount from the banker even if it's low as a memory of having been on the show. At least you could frame a cheque for 1p or 10p. If you go home with nothing you can't do that!
