I went to Bristol last Thursday (15th June) and saw the 1.45pm recording. It will be transmitted on a Thursday in October but I don't know EXACTLY when.

Anyway, I had a whale of a time and had a chat with a few other audience members and I plugged this site to them all. So, if anyone else was in the DoND audience last Thursday afternoon and remember the bloke who was a big fan of the show and plugging this site, then here I am!!! :-D

I also had a brief chat with Noel Edmonds!!! YAY!!! I mentioned that I used to be at uni with Natalie who played back in November and had £250k in her box after dealing at £22k. On noticing that he had no symbol on his hand, I asked him about it. He then said he didn't know what I was talking about and suggested I go and cool down. I presume he was joking and didn't think of me in a bad way.

All in all, a very enjoyable day and I seriously recommend that other correspondents go to Brizzle and be in the DoND audience if they haven't done so already.

A Thursday in October for the early recording on Thu-15-Jun fits into my table nicely!

It's great to hear you had such a good time... I suspect Noel was joking, I mean, think of how seriously he joked about the 2 £250k winners... he seemed to have a lot of people believe that, it's just his sense of humour. :-D

I notice on the Channel 4 official DOND site, it says to e-mail for more information about being in the audience... do you have to fill out a form or qualify for tickets or anything? How long did you have to wait before contacting Channel 4 and actually going to see DOND? I've heard that there's a waiting list for months, and no doubt there'll be even more of a backlog now that they aren't filming again until October. Do you get to choose whether you see the early or late recordings?

I'm seriously thinking of applying for tickets, it'd be a fairly long journey for me (I'm in the South East), but I reckon it'd be worth it!

I phoned the audience hotline at the end of March and got a recorded message telling me to leave my name and telephone number. I heard nothing until mid-May when one of the ladies of the audience team contacted me and asked when I wanted to come to Bristol and see DoND being filmed. She gave me a few dates and times, so yes, you can choose whether you see the afternoon (1.45pm) or one or both of the evening recordings (4.45pm and 7.45pm).

Hope this helps, h2005!!! :-D

How long does filming take?

Well, the show started recording at around 2-2.10pm and finished at around 4.20-4.25pm, so just over two hours. That included bits that were filmed again like a box opening or Noel picking up the phone. No wonder poor Noel's got RSI.

TBH, I was enjoying watching the recording so much that I didn't look at my watch to see how long it was taking, hence the vague times I've given. That said, I hope this answers your question, painkiller.
