By popular demand, I'm going (or attempt ;)) to post the positions of all the past players on Deal or No Deal. So here goes, starting on the far end of the West Wing (where Tan currently stands) and ending on the end of the East Wing (where Emma D currently stands). I'll start with the original player, and then add each player who has replaced them (Hope this makes sense! :D).

West Wing

# Mark, Lisa, Lee, Gerry, Russell, David, Johnnie, Michael, Tan, Carlton

# Shell, Rita, Angela, Liz, Anna, Flash, Pat G, Sandy, Fran

# Madie, James, Max, John M, Mike, Bob, Massimo, Rich

# Lynn, John, Jenni, Vanessa, Sam, Steve, Clare, Patricia

# Maurice, Rob, Clive (didn't play), Alan, Peter, Marcus, Sandra, Morris, Simone

# Jan, Helen, Lynsey, Aileen, Tracey, Alison, Gabrielle, Max, Suzanne

# Sam, Chris, Robbie, Charles, Daz, Candice, Kirsty, Hilary, Gary, James

# Rachel, Becky, Irene, Vaughan, Glen, Germaine, Aaron, Dave E, Tom

# Len, Jeff, Julie, Paula R, Saj, Gary, Emma B

# Adrienne, Andy K, Michael C, Marie, Norma, Audrey (didn't play), Janet, Maxine, Patrick, Jainie

# Raj, Andy, Miguel, Fin, Patrick, Jim, Dave W, Peter

BOARD

East Wing

# Elaine, Sara, Louise, Mumtaz, Lucy, Richard, Jason

# Trevor, Tina, Dave, Geordie, Gary, Nick, Pat, Buzz

# Natalie, Karen, Gavin, Jim, Paul, James, Pete, Raj

# Paul, Mally, Mary-Ann, Arlette, Brenda, Beryl, Marilyn, Linda, Francesca, June

# Lyndsey, Audrey, Gill, Helen, Paula, JT, Sarah, Joan

# Haleem, Eddie, Nick, Andrew, Okiem, Jim R, Julia, Simon, Colin

# Anita, Jennifer, Hayley, Simon, Ann, Benita, Sarah, Helen, Dot, Terri, Becca

# Oli, Kai, Michael D, Garvan, John G, Matt, Fadil, Gaz, Mark

# Jayne, Jo, Pat, Linda, Lisa, Nancy, John, Susie, Drew

# Leigh, Jason, Terry, Chris, Trevor, Dave, James, Lofty

# Dilys, Elaine, Jenna, Jessica, Donna, Barbara, Cathy, Emma D, Stevie

Phew! There we go! :D I'll update after each game, and add the game number each player played later. Hope this helps in the meantime :D

wow! that is excellent...if you need some help with the number of games played by each player then i've already got the totals since about the start of february, to save working em out...

there's only one thing wrong that i noticed, which was that dilys was actually the first player to be in the far far east wing, before old elaine. The first elaine, (she was young, and black), was the first player to play in lucy's space before sara... ;)

it's actually very interesting to see that some players really weren't there for very long at all (andy k. - 14 shows!!)

Yeah I was surprised that there were that many players appeared to have been on that end of the East Wing, as Lucy and Mumtaz did the best part of 80 shows between them!

Also wasn't there a third non-playing contestant in the early days, other than Clive and Audrey?

Interesting info anyway, I guess the next thing for someone to work out is luckiest/unluckiest position and wing!

Cheers for picking that up Jonny! I have it in my records correct, but when I've typed it I've done it wrong  :D

I couldn't find this when looking through my records, but I believe there was yes. Someone by the name of Charles? If anyone has his position let me know.

I guess you may be able to work it out by how many shows people appeared on, if someone appears to have had a longer run than expected etc. Gary's current slot looks like it could be a player short, though he and Paula R have had fairly long runs.

I believe there was another Charles...

anyway, i've worked out the lengths of time for all the players in one particular position...maybe you could do it like this?

Dilys (7 shows), Elaine (2) (29 shows), Jenna (23 shows), Jessica (16 shows), Donna (21 shows), Barbara (23 shows), Cathy (20 shows), Emma

and maybe someone could work out something like how much money a position has won. For example for the position i've done:

Player total winnings: £83,101
Total of boxes: £154,001

Banker's victory over Position 22 - £63,900

Average money won by players standing here: £11,871.57

On Player's game

Blue box contents: 1 - Barbara (£1)
Red box contents: 6 - Dilys (£1,000), Elaine (£100,000), Jenna (£5,000), Jessica (£35,000), Donna (£10,000), Cathy (£3,000)

Julie was there for a while too, and Saj had a reasonable run

I know it looks short, but I think it's because all the players had fairly long runs opening boxes.

Interesting that there's some all-male and all-female positions going right back to the start.

Fantastic list, but player 14 will take you to court unless you remove their name - they don't want any publicity remember - like they fell into a black hole or something!

Great stuff, Qwerty. I also managed to find the data late last night and have produced exactly the same list. It's good to have a bit of confirmation.

Anyway, here's some averages for you all. I've defined the 'position' to be the Wing (W for West, E for East), followed by the distance from the centre board. For example, position W11 is currently occupied by Michael, W01 by 'Smiler' Dave, E01 by Richard and E11 by Emma.

AVERAGE AMOUNT WON BY WING (games 1 to 140)
West Wing: £18,075.96
East Wing: £16,626.54

AVERAGE AMOUNT WON BY POSITION (games 1 to 140)
E07: £30,962.50
W05: £26,085.71
W03: £24,240.00
E04: £23,585.71
W04: £22,700.71
W11: £21,242.86
W08: £20,666.67
W10: £20,357.14
E03: £20,285.71
W07: £15,566.67
E02: £15,503.33
E05: £14,803.67
E01: £13,501.00
E09: £12,916.67
E10: £12,766.67
W09: £12,635.17
W02: £12,328.71
E11: £11,871.57
W01: £11,566.68
W06: £10,416.67
E08: £10,401.67
E06: £10,016.67

(Jennifer's £120k means that position E07 is the clear leader there, despite it also producing £250 wins for both Simon and Ann)

For the record, the average amount won overall for games 1 to 140 is £17,351.25

I have a feeling that there was never a player called Charles who did not get to play. Having looked at the data, my suspicion is that the name 'Charles' was mistakenly said instead of 'Clive' somewhere, which is where the confusion occurs.

some good stuff there, al. why did you both happen to compile the same data at the same time? coincidence?

Not surprising that E06 comes last, with 1p Nick, and Jim who won £500, and it appears it has yet to produce a £20k-plus winner.

Could well be Julia from that position to play today, so a chance to either improve the average or confirm its status as the seat to avoid!
