What has been your favourite themed week theme that you've seen so far, in terms of costumes, set design, twist, etc.?

The "good egg/bad egg" twists that used to appear at Easter, and in particular the way it was used in Monique's game with the multiple offers.

Theming-wise, I was very impressed with the imagination and surreality of the Christmas Dinner specials last year, but not (in the slightest) with the gameplay twist. I also liked the way the Gold Medal Deal specials gleefully worked around the LOCOG Olympic rights restrictions, but again disliked the twist.

There have been so many now that we really need a list to remember them all...

The 80's Love Week one a couple of years ago was quite fun. The only one I found entertaining TBH :p

The Halloween & Christmas specials in 2009, and Love Week 2010 with the gods and godesses, mainly because they were my first three themed weeks. I think I'm also going to like this week to be honest...

[Off Topic - apologies] Does anyone else think a potential Banker's Birthday/Summer/could even be tweaked for Halloween theme could be a Carnival/Fairground setting?

Out of interest, what was the first theme week which involved the dressing up?

I can remember back in the early days them having Love Week etc., but not dressing up and pretty much just changing the colours of the boxes.

Halloween 2007, I think. Noel wasn't dressed up for the themed weeks at first - can't remember when he started joining in... Summer 2008 specials, perhaps?

I believe the first show in which they wore costumes was actually the Eurovision special in 2006, but that was a one-off and not a week's worth.

First themed week involving gameplay was Halloween 2007, although they only dressed up on one show. First full week of dressing up was the first 'Santa or Scrooge' in Christmas 2007, although they didn't do another full week of dressing up until July 2008 at the end of season 3.

In terms of set design, I definitely think the current Banker's birthday week is the best.

In terms of the twist, the last Banker's birthday was definitely the best, as it was just hard enough to have a 50% success rate and it gave players a very interesting decision once the first portion was completed.

I thought the Doctors and Nurses week from this time last year had the best dress-ups, the nurse outfits were one of the few special week outfits were the players were still fully recognizable.

My other favourite themes were the Summer 09 special (i LOVED the look of the boxes in that week, pity Yvonne was ejected from contestants row before she could be shown in normal attire though :-() and although i liked last year's Olympic theme, it was soured somewhat by a certain twist  - Though i think that week was remembered for Mark D's nightmare game more than anything, Poor bloke :(

A theme i would love to see, perhaps for Halloween or maybe even the banker's birthday, is players dressing up as fictional heroes and villains - i.e the west wing could be the heroes (so we could have Superman, Batman, Hulk, Wonder Woman) and the east wing could be the villains (e.g. Loki, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Jafar, Blackbeard etc.)

I'm liking the space theme thus far, not just for the games, but also for the set and the costumes. Nice work by the production staff :smt023.

Regarding themes they could do in the future, how about the Victorian, Shakesperean, or Middle Ages eras? In theory, you could have knights and ladies vs. dragons, or something to that effect as well.

Also interesting would be Deal Around the World, where the 22 players and Noel would all be wearing traditional garb from 23 different countries. Canada could be represented by someone wearing a Mountie uniform, complete with the hat and red jacket ;).

Probably the Deal in Space.

Speaking of themes yesterday and the day before they were recording the Halloween specials!...which I'm sure will come to a surprise to some.

I'm a purist. Preferably no themed weeks for me.

I don't mind a Christmas show, or a New Year's show, but dedicating weeks throughout the year to - IMO - pointless themes? I'm not keen on it personally. Just smells like desperately trying to bring in more viewers, discarding the entertainment factor - the idea behind the show and any show - completely. :smt023
